man...we need him in the worst way..

but..will he be effective with the injury?

thoughts?

i think he will be fine in pass coverage..but trying to tackle makes me uneasy.

no he shouldn't play, we will need him more in the final stretch than we do for this game.

He should absolutely play under the following conditions:

1) He can manage the pain.

2) The risk of injury is no greater than if the current injury were not present.

Hopefully these are the guidelines being used to determine his status.

I don't see any way he can tackle with a cast covering his entire hand. No way to wrap up. I would sit him.

Sensabaugh played fairly well with a cast on his hand a couple years ago.

its nut up time....if this team wants the playoffs they need every man possible on the field

If he can breathe he should play.

They can do a bionic man on him is he needs to replace limbs in future :)

I'm not worried about him being able to tackle with the cast. You can wrap up without your fingers.

He's definitely not going to be as effective in forcing or getting turnovers though. But I'll take him batting balls instead of making picks. I'm thinking he's definitely a lot better with a cast than a healthy Brooking.

I sure wish his return was coming against an easier back to tackle than Fred Jackson. Wouldn't it be nice if Dallas were facing the Washington Commanders and Tashard Choice this week instead?

Sounds pretty reasonable.

I'm concerned about Fred Jackson and the running game. Lee has the speed to plug those holes. Lets just get a big lead so it won't be necessary to have him in there. :)

These guys on this forum forget this is not baseball and a 162 game regular season.

Only 16 games and we're already done with 8 of them just breaking even.

If they can find a vest for Romo to cover those ribs and exposure to his lungs without 1 week of rest, they can cast Sean Lee's wrist up to 3 inches from his elbow.

He can wear an elbow pad as well and give her.

The good hand can hold onto the cast to wrap tackle. Picks and running with the ball will be a different story.

I would put him at the Mike where he can rush a bit and let the other 3 LB's (James, Brooking Carter) play his usual position, which does not rush as much.

The kid can call and position the components to our defense regardless.

Yes he should play.

His leadership and calling the defense has been missing. It's not just his play that has been missed.

IMO he's the leader of our defense.

Yeah, he should play if the DR's clear him too. My only thought is, what if the cast keeps him from making a game changing INT, instead it is just a pass defensed.....but then again he was in position to break up that pass, as someone else, it could have been completed.....:D ...oh, the complexity turns....

YES if he can...play!!!!

sean is the man..

The dude gets paid to play. If he can be effective than he should be on the field.

If he can wrap up, he can tackle.

If he can get a hand on the ball, he can knock it down.

If he can play- he plays and he will be effective. You are right... we need him.
