Should the Cowboys bring back LT Tyron Smith from retirement?

Tyron was/is no doubt a beast in his prime, but his time has come and gone and the evolution of the o-line must continue. This will be a good opportunity to give these developmental and back-up guys some much-needed reps.

I think he's done himself. Now, had Tyler Smith had an ACL injury, they may of given him a call to see where he's at. But with Guyton maybe back in 6 weeks I think they just go trial by fire with Richard or whoever is the #LT by end of camp

Not so sure about that, he signed a 1 day contract with Dallas, to retire a Cowboy.
Not sure how that plays into it it though. Depends if the Jets released him from his contract after he retired. Did he pay back a portion of his pay to the team as required by the CBA. If he signed longer than 1 year, I can't remember if 1 or 2 years.

It was a one year deal. The Jets have no rights to him. His season did end with a neck injury. Don’t know the severity. Doubt he’s in any hurry to resume a playing career.

I would love overhearing that call between Jones and Smith if Smith told him, "No can do, Jerry." A bonus would be seeing another team suffer a key left tackle injury during the season and successfully coaxing Smith to sign with them instead.

No. Let him enjoy retirement and the HoF induction ceremony he deserves. We need to see if Guyton is the LT of the future. The only way to make that determination is to put him on the field and let him play.
