After being dominated on both sides of the ball physically the last two games, should the starters play a quarter against the Dolphins. Maybe have Romo and Dez play a couple series together.

Honestly do any of our backups give us anything valuable, that we really need to evaluate?. Except for Cletis Gordon, Marty B, Tashard Choice and Junior Siavii and AOA on special teams the rest can all hit the bricks now.

No. If there is a serious injury, or even a non serious injury, it is not worth the risk

Absolutely............but they wont. :(

We will left wondering and worrying for 2 weeks with this game as the last taste in our mouth.

a completely disgraceful display tonight by a veteran team that looked like they never played together before. New year, same problems, unfocused and take too many stupid penalties..

They shouldn't even play at all if they're not gonna give full effort. All we're asking is 2-3 series of full intensity and instead, they mailed it in from the first snap. So there's no point. Give this playing time to the backups so at least they can try to make an impression in making the team or at least make plays so other NFL teams can get film on them and pick them up.

Umm...the Cowboys played because the league didn't give them the choice not to. And I'm not voncerned that they gave no effort because they face the Texans again in about a month during the regular season. I'm kind of glad the Cowboys did not game-plan this game or show anything, while the Texans did the exact opposite, because it will give Dallas the uppoer hand in preparation for the game that counts.

They are already a tired team, so why have them play on a short turnaround? Just hope that the OL get their act together for the regular season.

You don't have to gameplan to win simple 1 on 1 running game battles both offensively and defensively. The team simply wasn't physical.

Houston wasn't running Pittsburgh's zone-blitz scheme, it was simple line stunts.

Defensively that's 2 weeks in a row the team has run the ball all over us and played simple pass and catch. Yes blitzing will help in the pass game but dont' know about the run.

It's 1 thing to come out vanilla and it's another thing to completely show no effort. It's not about game-plans when you can't even block the guy in front of you on a basic play.

And you're not understanding my point. The starters shouldn't play the next game if they're not going to at least give some effort in the limited time they're out there. We're not even talking about saving your energy for an entire game, we're talking about a few series!

No they shouldn't...

And they won't...

But they definitely could use the practice.

Wade says they may consider playing some starters in final preseason game when typically starters sit

What makes you think they gave no effort?

Again, it goes back to the head coach setting a crappy tone.

"We don't care enough to gameplan..." No, those weren't Phillips's words but that's the message he sent.

The players bought into that.

I disagree with the bolded part. The first third down, the Texans ran a corner blitz....how often does that happen in PS?

Where did Wade say that or something like that?

The texans dominated us in preseason in 2007. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

It was quickly forgotten when we went 13-3.

Yes.

However...

The week before that, the Cowboys dominated Denver. So they weren't completely inept all of the 2007 preseason.
