Should TWill and Dunbar get the blame?

Starting to think this one is on the coaches and one coach in particular. The head coach. While both players have been coached over and over and have practiced this over and over they still do wrong by not getting out of bounds.
There was an article a week or two ago about this same thing happening in practice. It was a situational drill, just like Sundays game ending drive. Dez caught a pass and was supposed to go out of bounds and he tried to cut it up field to score but was tackled short of the goaline in bounds and time ran out. Guess who ran up to him and let him have it. Garrett? Wrong. Linehan? Wrong again. It was Dak.
Prescott went to Bryant and told him he needs to get out of bounds. Not one of the coaches. The rookie 4th round pick who started as a third string. It is a little sad if you ask me.

Would Jimmy Johnson or Bill Parcells let that happen in practice? You practice like you play and you play like you practice. You could bet your *** that those two head coaches, Jimmy and Bill, would have laid into Dez so hard on the practice field that nobody would ever screw that up again, wether in practice or a game.

I can't blame Dunbar. He was too far from the sidelines to be expected to get OB on that play. He did what he could, and really- was about a block away from turning the corner and being gone.

Williams- absolutely can blame. Impossible mistake in that situation.

Win or lose, I blame miss opportunities due to player mistakes as negatives during all four quarters of any game that shortcut Cowboys' drives or benefit opponent's drives. In addition to Dunbar and Williams' gaffes, I blame the loss on:

  • Beasley's dropped pass for a very probable touchdown in the first quarter
  • Scandrick getting burnt like toast for 60 yards on two Manning passes in the second quarter, part of a Giants' four-play touchdown drive
  • Collins' multiple holding penalties (one was a freaking tackle putting the offense in a deep 1-and 20 hole on its 10-yard line) in the fourth quarter, not good for a rookie or veteran quarterback to contend with.

There are other things worth mentioning, like the defensive line getting gashed repeatedly or certain calls that got away from the run when it seemed to me the Giants defense was starting to wear down, but those I posted are from my personal finger pointing at individual players.

Williams dunbar beasley wilcox elliott collins (in no particular order) would be my main targets if i wanted to place blame. The better team won yesterday.

They need to share in the blame. They had an opportunity to execute and win the game yesterday and they failed. Great teams execute in crunch time.
