Should we be concerned that Eberflus has been at a lot of these pro days?

My guess is Jerry has more or less already told Eberflus he can have a pick in first couple of rounds. By this I mean what he says goes.

My money is it will be Williams

IMHO, the best way is for it to be a collaboration between the scouting dept and the coaches. The coaches need to give input on what traits/types of players they are looking for and the scouts need to compile a list of players they feel best fit those descriptions.
I think the coaches should put together their own list of players that they feel show those traits well. The scouts should do the same. Hopefully, if they are competent at their jobs, their lists will be very similar. Then they need to sit down, discuss and prioritize the order that list together. Here is where it can get difficult.
Because although the cook should have a big say on what groceries he's cooking with, the evaluators of the groceries should have the final say on which head of lettuce is freshest or which steak is the most tender and would be the best one for the cook to use.
The owner of the restaurant has the final say as to who's shopping list he's going to use. A good one, will go with the list compiled from the people he's paying to do the food evaluating, so that his cook has the best possible ingredients for the meal he's to prepare.

Yeah it’s REALLY difficult for me to come to the conclusion that the D coordinator going to pro days was even top 10 in the list of issues during the Garrett/Marinelli era.

You can just boil it down to…Jerry kept the wrong coaching staff for way too long.

While the coaches coach the players I would prefer my scouts giving them the knowledge. We were burned by his good buddy Marinelli for years. Scary thought as I’m sure he has a ton of weight in that room with Jerry and son.
I understand your concern, but one distinction I would make is that Eberflus is a much younger coach than Marinelli was.

I think the biggest problem was that the game had passed Kiffin and Marinelli by when they finally arrived in Dallas.

What makes that Taco pick even worse is the Watt was sitting right there waiting to be picked. Just the name alone was hinting about his brother with the Texans. What a bunch of clowns passing on Watt and taking Taco.
He was too small remember?……

That was a really bad miss not picking Watt.

It will forever be one of the absolute worst decisions this team has ever made.

Practically every team passed on Watt. He also had a recent ACL injury and Taco was a bigger prospect with a similar draft grade. CeeDee fell to 17 and Parsons fell to 12. Shoot, 10 teams passed on Mahomes. Fans as usual are overreacting.

I've seen a couple of people say they really like Mykel Williams.
