Should we follow Johnathan Abram's career?

The Safety that was selected by Oakland with Amari Cooper's pick.

Our biggest need coming into the draft was Safety and not only did we find a great one in the late rounds with Donovan Wilson, we also got ourselves an All-Pro receiver.

Good luck to Abrams but he would need to become Ed Reed 2.0 for us to lose the trade.

Nice try Satan but you're not getting me to go down that rabbit hole.

No losers on that trade unless Abrams becomes a bust for the Raiders. I have nothing but good things to say about Amari Cooper. As for Wilson, I'm excited to have him on the team. Great talent acquisition by our scouting department,

great one...hmmm, maybe as Parcells used to say, lets put the anointing oil away....its just 4 PRESEASON games...he may...but he is not yet.

In order to be all-pro, you first need to be considered one of the two best WRs in the national football league. Is it Deandre Hopkins you feel he’s surpassed?

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. I’m sure your opinion will change really quick when we start talking about all-pro receivers making 22-24m a year like Julio is about to sign for.

Not true Hopkins is for sure a top 5 guy and can be called Elite but that doesnt make Amari not an all pro starter..they simply in different tier..

now how does Amari stack up in a contract cost to say Tyreke hill? he just got 18 per for 3years..id say hill maybe a tad better or just faster? thats why I say 17 is my cap for Coop..he is a #1 and for sure better the what I saw last night for the Bears and really maybe even the Packers..

No, never starting (even being considered for) an all-pro team makes Amari not an all-pro starter.

You’re taking about giving Amari 20-25 a year, Tyreek gets paid like a guy who’s also never been an all-pro starter.

More than likely they would have traded up or reached for a wr with the pick... so no!

@Mookie Nice post with a good tidbit of information. I did not know the Raiders drafted S Abrams with the Cooper pick. So, if D. Wilson is better than Abrams, then I would say that is a major feather in the cap of the front office. A lucky feather, but a feather nonetheless.

Way to keep it negative ... can't have any positive vibes here. :)
Hows it negatve... look at that wr core before the trade... there's no way they would have been able to avoid addressing it without the trade and this team doesn't chase big name FAs leaving the draft as the recourse!

never have I said that I said id pay Amari no more then 17, hat where he falls in place..20-25 is outside even of Julio, whos abut to get about 20-21

We should be looking at Juan Thornhill, he was available when we drafted Trysten Hill.
