Should we give Martellus Bennett some looks at Wideout?

At the combine VY/6 ran a 4.69. Check it if you want. So I am "correct".

You check it here, and here 4.58 40. Vince Young didn't workout at the combine so I don't know where the hell you got your numbers! Look at the first link, it says he didn't workout at the combine.

So all the knee jerk reactions of, "This player is a cancer and I never ever wanted him on my team" are now praises of, "We need to get this kid out on the field more often!" ?? Man, television is the most powerful invention ever made.

I would love to have Bennett focus on being a complete TE for a season or two before I thought of testing him wide for anything more than a couple plays. I have said it before that receiving options of TO, Crayton, Witten, Bennett and Felix is gonna be just plain scary. But I also won't believe the hype on him at WR. He has a lot to learn at the TE spot which will be his bread and butter.

He is what he is. A mixed bag. Ton of talent but not much experience catching the ball and what appears to be an attitude that needs a little work. This isn't news. In fact, the scouting reports on him seem pretty dead on.

The only ones calling for his head were your run of the mill premature evaluators.

In other words, 75% of this board. And there were any number of people on here suggesting he looked slow and very UNathletic. Let's not forget those people too.

I wouldn't be against it at all. He is fast, and big with decent hands. That equals matchup problems for CBs. He also has an amazing vertical jump.

Absolutely Hos I could see them putting in a couple of CarMichal plays, nothing complicated maybe a few fades to the sideline and let him jump for it against a smurf CB.

Honestly, do people just lay in bed at night and think of stuff to post?

Hey, lets have Tony Romo play some running back. he did pretty good scrambling before.....

Maybe just a look to see what he can do there?

Not permanently of course .... I just want them to utilize his freakish athletic ability.

He seems to have good speed ...... good hands ..... natural running motion.

Guy reminds me of tape I have seen on Harold Carmichael who was a favorite of my Dads (even though he was a Eagle most of his career)

Maybe I am just bored ..... ;) ...... But I would really like to know what a few of the Football minds on this board think about it.

Only if he loses 25-30 pounds (he'd be the same size as Plaxico Burress). Then, and only then, should the team think about that.
