With the suspension of Ro Mac, do you guys think we'd be better off moving Lee back to MLB?

I think a lineup of Durant---Lee---Hitchens would be our best Lb corp.

When asked if Lee might be moved back to MLB, Stephen Jones said (paraphrasing) "You never say never, but it is a real longshot that Lee will be moved inside. We really liked him at the weakside spot."

When Stephen replies with that type of answer, he means it ain't happening... So no, Lee isn't going to be moved from his Will spot. <--- My words

With Thornton it will be less problematic than it was with Velcro due to less interior linemen being free to get to the second level and onto the MIKE. At the same time, at the WILL he is more able to run free because he is covered by the 3T against the run and he is in better position to roam in coverage than the MIKE who is often dealing with the RB.

Not to mention Sean Lee was Pro Bowl at the weak side position...

It just wouldn't make good sense to put Lee back into the middle where his getting injured became a certainty in the past. The fact that Mr. Lee earned a Pro Bowl nod at the weakside spot where he resided last year makes a move to the middle even more of a no-no. The MLB duties should rightfully go to someone who is reasonably capable of surviving the physical punishment that goes with the territory at that position.

Moving Lee back to MLB is a great idea.... if the goal is to see how fast you can put him in a season ending situation.

MLB? Send him to Major League Baseball? :D That might prolong his career :)

Lee has proven he can't last a full season at MLB or even make it through training camp without getting injured. At least at outside linebacker, he has a chance to play every game and still make some plays.

Not until the DL stabilizes and improves.

Next year maybe..

or towards the end of the season if injuries require shuffling the lineup.

but not now.

No we shouldn't move Lee to Mike. He has heart but has some durability issues. We need him to play an entire season. I think Hitchens could man that spot, although I wish we had a motivated, nonsuspended RoMac in the middle.

I'd keep him where he is and give Wilson a chance. Wilson has the body-type to take the beating at MLB.
