Should we retain Sanchez after the season?

I know he is great comedic fodder, and just not a good starting QB. However he has more experience then most backups we could get and he has shown he can be effective and even good in short spurts as a backup QB. I know alot probably want better, but backup QBs is typically a crapfest

Also I dont see his price tag being close to what to a Chase Daniel. I think you are buying low with Sanchez

Depends on if Romo is still on the team. I can't see us paying Romo $20 mil to be the backup.

Sanchez is no better or worse than any of the other backups out there ... unless you're ready to keep Kellen Moore around.

Why wouldn't they keep Moore around? He is Linehan's boy, isn't he?

Keep him. He is undefeated as a Cowboy. He is as good a cheer leader as Romo and Dez, so why not. If Romo is traded we are going to need a backup and Kellen is just not that guy. Jameil is now a CB. So we need Sanchez if, as and when Dak goes down.

Sure he can hold Romo's clipboard while Romo holds Dak's.

The arrival of Sanchez has given us the deepest QB depth chart in the league. We've come a long way from signing guys of the street.

We need to keep him on the roster. Any starting QB can go down at anytime. He's experienced and probably better than c.8 starters on other teams. He appears to have settled for a career as a good backup. He can solidify the position for the next few years.

Dak/Sanchez/Moore is the best option for 2017.

To add to the debate, Sanchez should be put in during the 4th quarters of games where we're up. He should have played against the Bengals and should have gotten the final drive against GB. No point in exposing the starter to potential injury when the game is over. I'd also like to see what he can do as he's auditioning for the long term backup role.

Romo is not going anywhere, I don't know why some of you keep trying to propose trade scenarios (no matter how much sense they make). He is a cowboy for life.

Personally, I would love to bolster the pass rush or get a high draft pick for Tony, but Jerry has too much sentimental attachment.. it'll never happen.

Jerry likes winning more than Romo.

I would have liked to have seen Sanchez get some snaps in the Cincinatti Game.

Trade Romo keep Sanchez bring in a young developmental guy

Teams are going to want to see Romo in game action and that he is healthy for any thought of a trade. Pretty sure. If Dak continues to start and play well, Romo won't get on the field unless CBoys are blowing some team out in the 4th.

That depends entirely on if Romo is still on this team or not.
