He's been hurt twice. The foot thing last year and the groin this year. He played his whole second season with a bad knee and never missed a game.

Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman had surgery today (Oct. 10)on his groin and will be out at least a month. Doctors thought Newman would be out six-to-eight weeks, but discovered his groin muscle wasn't as badly damaged.

Why does this lie keep getting repeated?

One, Newman ISN'T injury-prone. He missed a couple of games last year, so what? For the most part, until this year, he's played in almost every game of his career.

Besides, his injury was nothing more than a freak accident-some guy just stepped on him accidentally.
