Simple and to the point, Eberflus needs to wise up and play the players Coach Zimmer drafted and liked. Why? Because Zimm values physicality, toughness, and smarts, exactly what Eberflus and the new Coaching Staff preaches.

DE - Marshon Kneeland (6'3 270) (4.75 40, 34" arms) MK played the best at DE for Week 1 imo, his power, vision to find the ball, and bullying of probably the best OT duo in the league speaks volumes. Kneeland's stat line vs. Eagles: 2 solo tkls, 1 sack. PFF 73.1 run defense grade good for 12th in the NFL.

LB - Marist Liufau (6'2 240) (4.65 40, 34" arms) Marist was maybe the most productive LB for the amount of snaps he got. Smart, rangy, instinctive, and a knack for forcing turnovers by punching the ball, Liufau seems perfect for this defense. Liufau 's stat line: 3 tackles on 6 snaps.

My thoughts are Eberflus has to realize Zimmer picked some rookies who are better than what Flus brought in during the offseason, and he has to start Zimm's Guys... Smart, tough, physical, and all motor. Anyways, that's what I want to see vs NYG personnel wise from Flus, how about you guys and gals?

At LB it was Clark or Marist Liufau.

Neither was brought in by Eberflus.

They want the Green Dot LB to play all 3 downs.

They probably don't want #57 to do it because his limited athleticism would be a problem in Dime.

Liufau might not to have enough experience to be Green Dot.

Clark is from LSU. Often LSU players are slow learners.

Kneeland was 2nd in snap counts for all the DEs. That's basically a starter even if he was not on the field for the 1st snap.

LOL LSU players.
I want Liufau at MLB and I figure he's more than smart enough to do it. The MLB in this scheme needs to be able to cover a lot of ground, and I believe Sanborn should be given a side of field to account for not sideline to sideline.

Yeah, Flus brought in Murray n Sanborn and those guys struggled, ironically.

LM has not played MLB in the NFL. Kendricks was MLB last season.

Was Sanborn bad? He looked reliable but to me but I have not focused on him.

Murray has to be more consistent or they'll have to make somebody else the Green Dot.

Murray could be great if he only played about 30% of the snaps and got a lot of opportunities to blitz. He can make big plays but lacks consistency

If you remember Damien Wilson from back in the 2015 to 2018 time frame.
- He normally played about 30% of snaps (All of the non-nickel snaps).
- He was good in that role but when forced to play the majority of snaps due to injuries to other LBs, he was not nearly as good.

Murray would be better than Wilson in that type of limited role.
- They're paying Fowler similar money as Murray and Fowler only played 38% of snaps last week.

Why does he need to be a middle linebacker? I think he's good enough to play weak side or whatever they call it whatever overshown typically plays..

you don't need to be the green dot middle linebacker to get on the field and play..
Literally there was a time where Kearse wore the green dot you don't need to be the middle linebacker you just need to be the general who gets everybody lined up right that's who gets the green dot it's not necessarily a linebacker..
I agree with the post and I as far as these players need more time, but I don't know if that it's because it's not his players..
Game one was different,
let's see what he does in game two but game once against the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in weather on the road in a big moment where they were going to have all these celebrations and the moment was going to be big and I think they wanted to play the most seasoned veterans that they could get out there, that's also why I believe Blue didn't play etc

Who knows I mean I don't know the reason, but I do agree we got to get him on the field one way or the other... Liafu is baller a gamer, I don't care what he is or isn't doing in practice i've seen him when he gets on the field he's a beast but he don't need to be calling the defense he just needs to be on the damn field playing see ball get ball punch ball out..

lol.
