Shouldn't we be looking to deal fora WR?

right? I mean TO wouldn't lie about his injury - and we have a Damn good defense and aging QB -so shouldn't we be offering maybe a 3 and the Shanle 4 - for Deion Branch ?? or something along those lines?

I mean how do we know TO isn't out for the season? This could be chronic - if he doesn't practice before Game 1 - you can't dress him - that wouldn't be fair to the players.

So wait, you and your little, "Cowboys Suck" friends think that at first TO is faking it, but now you think he's not only NOT faking it, but he's going to be out for the season.

You guys are funny.

Not going to happen and Jerry said during halftime that given what they have seen at WR thus far we are not going to go after one right now. I also don't think Branch would be very happy as a 3rd WR on this team.

I highly doubt the Pats would do a 3 and a 4 for Branch. Also, in order to get Branch, we'd have to pay the outrageous amount of money that him and his nutjob agent think he's worth.

Wow! An almost grownup comment from you! Your mommy must be so proud.

First--how do you know the Cowboys AREN'T looking? It was just announced about Branch--were they supposed to get a deal done in 30 minutes? Also, I would think the Pats want a 1st rounder (at least) in exchange. Not sure if the team will sacrifice that. It's also being reported that the Pats want a WR in exchange. Now, it would be nice to perhaps send them TO, but somehow I doubt that will happen. Who else from our squad would they take?

Meanwhile, Parcells announced several days ago that they're looking for WRs & other OL. I wouldn't necessarily assume they haven't contacted the Pats. Big Bill might just have had a chat with son-in-law Scott Pioli, just out of curiousity, to see what the price for Branch is. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're inquiring, & then perhaps dropping a subtle hint to Rosenmouth that his client better start playing or he might be put on PUP or cut.

We have plenty of depth at wide receiver this year. This thread is ********.

I would bet we are still looking for a vet WR. We have depth but not vet depth esp. if 2 0f the four are injured and one on the bubble at making the team.

The thought of TO or Glenn missing a few games really makes me nervous. I like Crayton as a #3 but not as a #2 yet.

Likewise bd....I have been impressed with both Hurd and Rector but if they make the team I would prefer easing them into a starting position same for Crayton. Crayton also has shown tendencies to be a slow healer.

i think we have 7 or 8 WR on the roster, so yes we have depth. DO we have "proven" depth no. But not alot of teams do
No we don't - we have an oft injured Crayton - Terry Glenn and a ?Mark in TO the rest is slop...

I thought we were possibliy going to protect ourselves by drafting Chad Jackson in the first round with the unpredictability of T.O. I guess if the Ellis experiment continues look good and the T.O. media hammy gate continues we might have wished that we had.

I would like better depth at wr but I refuse to have any sympathy for Parcells or the scouting dept. for the lack of depth at this position.

The fans have been wanting some young blood at that position for years and Parcells and co. just did not address it.

Now with TO's tender hamstring and Glenn's propensity for injury and Clayton showing the same trait, they are all the sudden looking for wr's.

To little to late in my opinion.

Skyler Green??? Come on! This guy was a return specialist in college. What makes anyone think he will be a legit wr in the pros?

This reminds me of what happened to the FS position for years....BTW if Watkins goes down we are back to square one there too. I like Elam but he is not the ballhawk that Watkins is.
