Should've addressed OL in the Draft even before the losses. In my view I couldn't stand the Brewster pick last year. I watched several Ball State Games and didn't understand how you could even grade the guy considering Ball State passed so quickly, the OL didn't even have to sustain blocks for two seconds. That pick always amazed me !!! It appears a Trade may need to happen I just don't know with who or for what.....

While I completely agree, it's really easy to look back on things in retrospect and make the decision. During the draft everyone was as happy as could be and had no complaints about the OL.

444 is right...hindsight now. Colombo was sucking anyway, sO I wasn't panicking about him but Kosier is real consistent. That one hurts bad IMO.

way to be a results oriented donkey... ****

Hindsight nothing...some have been calling for o-line drafts every year....not ONLY o-line, but I believe and always will that the o-line is too important to not keep your eye on....it all begins....and ends....with the line.

I'm sure all of us remember that in most of the fans' wish list and drafts the OL was always at the top of the priority list and most always one would be picked in the first three picks.

Then Jerry had to make a decision about Dez which I think was a good one and then he picked Sean Lee and then AOA. I am very proud of these three picks.

However, it seems like Jerry would have made an effort in FA or through a trade because this board continually lamented how thin the OL was in backups. What this type of thinking does, if the shoe does fall (which it has) then Jerry might go out and overpay for a backup type OL.

Sean Lee can block

As entertaining as your sarcasm is what if we had used the lee pick on a OL and Brooking or James went down instead of Colombo/Kosier? We would be hearing, "We have neglected the ILB position and just as I said it would it has come back to bite us and ruin our season!"

Dude our line sucked before these injuries. Football is won in the trenches and our Offensive trenches are disgusting. We didnt need some soft LB thats gonna be hurt anyway. Could have drafted a decent LB in 3rd and got a good OL in second. Not great but solid.

We did address the Oline.

We drafted Sam Young who looks pretty, darn steady. And traded for Alex Barron.

What more did you guys want us to do?

And what makes Lee soft? Everything we have heard about him from both players and coaches indicates he will be a fine player and future starter. Dez has missed a couple weeks too so I guess he is soft. ****, how long has Akwasi been out? Talk about softest of the softies! Our first 3 picks are doomed to softness and injuries!

All the draft picks for Roy Williams will pay off for our O-line.....................

Cut Flozell Adams and start Doug Free.

What I find the funniest thing in all this cliff jumping by fans here you realize Houck took two rookies and forced them into the starting lineup in San Diego due to injury and made the playoffs.

did you catch that 2 rookies and neither was a high round pick they managed to get buy just fine. teh Colts made ti to the playoffs with a rookie LT protecting Peyton's blindside. They where not drafting in the top tier.

This is what :lmao:it is early it is preseason and it gives the younger guys a chance to learn some of you are in panic mode about a player struggling a 2nd year player that missed last year to injury.

This reminds me of the Mike Jenkins over reaction because he flubbed one play.

To some the sky is always falling! Jerry did address the oline and he addressed other needs as well, you can't just go out and buy a team with cap restrictions ala NY Yankees. The youngens will have to step it, that's the ticket.

O Line is one the most difficult positions to draft and develop. If you look back to the dominant O Line of the early 90's, Step and E Williams were a 2nd and 3rd, Nate a FA, Tuinei a late pick as a DT, and Gogan a late pick. Also it is difficult for O Linemen to come in and play their first year and make impact. My point is that while I would like to see more young developing O Linemen on the roster, when you get a chance to draft a difference make like Dez, you do it. I bet most of the red zone problems vanish when he returns, long as Romo stays upright.
