Absolutely agree.

Miles is far superior to Edwards. No doubts there.

With much worse hands.

Miles is way better. Miles is a #1 WR Braylon is not. Miles is a beast.

oh geez Who would sit for Braylon on this team? You really think he would take the 3rd WR? The guy wants to be a starter.

No. He'd only come here if he didn't have another option where he could start.

But for that kind of contract, I'd have interest. I didn't want Roy released. I keep thinking back to how effective he was early in 2010 when Romo was playing. I want someone who can take advantage of the coverages focused on Bryant, Austin and Witten. Roy seemed to finally be doing that early last year and then fell apart when Romo went down.

I think you answered your own want though. They can't double all those guys at once they can't focus coverage on all of them at the same time. They will beat the individual match ups. One of them will be open If not that's why they have all that speed at RB someone will be open or have a miss match under neath

We already got rid of Roy Williams, why would you want to replace him with the exact same guy?

aaaand /thread.

Braylon would've been a progress stopper. We need to see what O can do. Like BP says, by the third year you know exactly what a player is. O has to be given every opportunity to prove himself, w/o an aging 1-year contract player taking his reps.

Good deal or not, Im pretty sure JJ & JG want to stay clear of 'problem child' players.

Edwards was already busted for DWI and then got in bar room fight, so he is facing Probation Violation charges now:

Report: Ex-Jets Star Braylon Edwards, On Probation, Involved In Bar Brawl

"Jets free agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards is no stranger to controversy.

On probation after pleading guilty to a DWI charge in Manhattan, Edwards was reportedly involved in a Birmingham, Michigan bar fight on Monday that left two bouncers with minor injuries.

Edwards’ cousins, Edmund and Tre Wright, were arrested and charged with felonious assault. One injured bouncer was stabbed in the hand with a pocketknife, the other was wounded in the neck with a fork.

“Privately, employees at South Bar said Edwards was spurring on his cousins rather than trying to get them to stop fighting,” wrote the Gannett’s Observer & Eccentric newspaper.

“It’s our understanding these two people were with him,” Birmingham Deputy Police Chief Mark Clemence said on Tuesday. “As far as the Birmingham Police are concerned, he’s a non factor in the incident. His name is not mentioned in any of the police reports.”

On Wednesday, police painted a slightly different picture.

“The officers were taking the suspects into custody and by the time they returned to the bar to get statements, everyone was gone,” a police spokesman, Commander Terry Kiernan, said. “As time went on, we started hearing other people were involved in this.”

According to the Observer & Eccentric, South Bar released a statement that implicates Edwards: “Braylon Edwards was present and involved, but it’s an ongoing police investigation so at this time we don’t have any further information.”

Edwards reportedly tweeted “Damn. Get ya knuckles ready” and “Don’t fight if. You don’t know how” during the time of the incident. Those posts were deleted by the wide receiver.

“Yo…Lost my phone last night someone sent tweets,” he later tweeted. “Deleted them and changed my password. Sorry for the mishap hopefully never happens again!”

Edwards is also on probation in Ohio. His 18-month probation sentence for punching a friend of LeBron James outside a Cleveland nightclub was extended by one year earlier this month. It was during his original probation period that Edwards was charged with DWI in Manhattan.

Also according to the report, former Knicks guard Jalen Rose was present — and tried to break up the fight.

“Jalen was a true gentleman,” one witness told the paper. “He saw what was going on and he walked right up and tried to stop it.”

Where there’s smoke there’s fire? Sound off on the Braylon report below…"
Not interested :thumbdo:

If he's been in more trouble again then he could be looking at a suspension from Goodell for the Conduct Policy.

The battle for the 3rd WR in the Cowboys training camp has alot of young, quality competition, besides Braylon doesn't fit here.

I agree. Thats what surprised me the 40 Whiners even signed him for that much.

I enjoy ANY time they make dumb moves, so I hope it comes back to haunt them.
