Anyone catch Inside the NFL last night? They were picking the all decade team. Most of the picks were easy and I would not argue with any of them. At tight end they chose Tony Gonzales, which makes perfect sense. Cris Collingsworth then tried to argue that blocking is a very important and overlooked aspect of the tight end position and should be considered. That is why he would consider choosing Heath Miller as the tight end of the decade.

I just busted out laughing. I like Collingsworth. I may be in the minority, but I think he is a pretty good game day analyst. He must have been high last night.

Gonzales dominated the entire decade at tight end. Even if you want a better blocker or all around tight end for the decade, you don't go with Heath Miller. Miller is a good all around tight end, but he isn't the best all around tight end of the decade.

Even if he was the best blocking tight end in history(which he isn't) he has only played in half the decade. That is not enough to make up for what Gonzales did as a receiving tight end over the entire 10 years.

Miller isn't even a great blocker. He is just a good blocker. It is especially funny because Collingsworth had some good things to say about Witten during last Sunday nights game. I do think that Cris realized his folly by throwing in that Miller does have two Superbowl rings in the decade.

Yeah I heard that and just shook my head.

I stopped watching it a long time ago and now I remember why.

On the other hand I am really enjoying their series on the AFL. It's very well done.

That AFL series is fantastic. One of the best football documentaries I have ever seen.

Yeah I saw that and couldn't believe Collinsworth chose Miller. I was like are you kidding. Then we he justified it with 2 Superbowl rings like Miller was a large reason why they have those two rings.

There's a reason Ben has the reputation of un-sacked-able.... just saying...
