Paul Smith, Tulsa Erratic, but dropped in a nice long throw to Dexter Jackson.
Bernard Morris, Marshall thin legs, sprays the ball, intriguing athlete but beyond raw as QB
Anthony Morelli, Penn State release point is too, great arm but no accuracy
East RBs
Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis, Mississippi gets low naturally, runs up the back of his blockers, caught quite a few passes but body catches too much.
Thomas Brown, Georgia star of East practice shifty, nimble, great short area burst, no shortage of moves.
Cory Boyd, South Carolina didn? stand out as a runner, good hands catcher as a receiver out of the backfield.
East WRs
Dexter Jackson, Appalachian State maybe the fastest player on either squad, great initial burst and great second gear can be jammed, but if you miss, you?l pay great short area quicks got work as a punt returner.
Jerome Simpson, Coastal Carolina disappointing good size but doesn? use it good hands, but seemed like strictly a possession receiver.
Samuel Giguere, Sherbrooke CFL material, was not on the same level as the rest of the talents.
Paul Hubbard, Wisconsin athleticism is apparent, but practice squad material at best, too raw to make an early impact in the NFL.
Justin Harper, Virginia Tech good hands, good size, but lacks NFL burst off the line and rounds off his routes.
East Defense
Jolonn Dunbar, LB, Boston College looks very natural dropping into coverage.
Jamie Silva, S, Boston College disappointing, did not stand out except when coaches were correcting him.
Jonathan Zenon, CB, LSU seemed to be on every pass breakup very physical and aggressive.
West QB
Kevin O?onnell, QB, SDSU sluggish footwork, either checked down or threw the ball up for grabs release point is too low - too many batted passes for a 6? QB.
Josh Johnson, QB, SD star of the west practice -very smooth footwork dropping back from center - holds the ball high and out of danger while in the pocket keeps head downfield while evading pressure glides when on the run, makes defenders take bad angles effortless change of direction on the run some of his passes were flutterballs.
Sam Keller, QB, Nebraska great cadence - good mid range passes took too long and was reached more than once on drill where the QB should have ample time to throw no accuracy downfield.
West RB
Anthony Alridge, RB, Houston best small area quicks good first step acceleration too small to stay at RB.
Marcus Thomas, RB, UTEP runs upright, but uses that style to employ great field vision has a wide array of moves in the open field good burst sometimes hesitates before making first step after handoff, might get blown up in full contact.
Allen Patrick, RB, Oklahoma major disappointment ran with his head down thinking too much about fumbling, which was a major problem throughout his career.
West WR
William Franklin, WR, Missouri a few bad drops, running wrong routes, not on the same page with his QB.
Kevin Robinson, WR, Utah State got the ball in the open field and made plays did get jammed too easily and took false steps in the routes.
Todd Blythe, WR, Iowa State full effort, but lacks tools other than straight line speed.
Jason Rivers, WR, Hawaii best routes of any WR today set up defenders with jab steps has good hands but doesn? always trust them sometimes made the unnecessary jump to catch the ball not a speedster.
