I'm watching NFLN and they've already done a whole "Who Is..." show on AD. You have to love what he's doing, but wow, talk about breaking out the annointing oil early. They're comparing him to all-time greats already.

We want respect? Shutting down, or at least slowing down, the talk of the league would be a great start. At least his outburst last week should really have us on high alert as to what he can do.

how do u shut down peterson?

1. keep their offense off the field........ball control

2. score a lot early......if the vikes get behind big early, that would force them to use the passing game to help them catch up

3. crowd the box and make Jackson and the receivers beat you.

4. kidnap both adrian petersons......let the Bear's AP play for Minnesota this week, and let Minnesota's AP play for the Bears. Make them both wear a shield and don't allow them to remove their helmet at all before, during, or after the game.

The kid is the real deal. The only concern about him is his injuries. But I dont think thats going to be a problem. I was begging, praying and anything else you can think of we would have made a move to grab him last draft
:bang2:

The kid is a stud no doubt, but can he stay healthy? He couldn't in college and I don't think he will in the NFL either.

Well here is a prime chance for Roy to do his thing. Two OU guys going at it.....

Wow, the injury thing. I think I'd take my chances with him. Have you actually watched some of the running he's been doing? If there was any time to see how injury prone he is, I think it would have show itself by now. He's not fragile like everyone makes him out to be. College durability means little anyways.

It should not be overly difficult stopping this guy - the Vikings have absolutely NO (NONE, NADA) passing game.........zilch. Stop A.P., you win the game.

Hopefully, it is that easy.:)

Just hire Tonya Harding's crew to lie in wait in the Vikings' locker room on game day.

I once saw the Baylor Bears get the best of Peterson so I'm confident the Dallas Cowboys can.

It's all about having multiple guys around him at all times. The moment that he starts getting to the last line of defense we have is the moment he breaks one. You just can't let him get past the linebackers. Can't.

How you do that? I'm not sure, but we've done a decent job of it this year thus far.

If the New England loss has the desired effect, Dallas will completely stifle Adrian Petersen. A stat line such as 15 carries for 33 yards would not surprise me. I'm not knocking Adrian; in my opinion, he'll be a great one. But Dallas' defense plays very well against the run, and Minnesota has no other consistent offensive weapons.

This game could mirror the '92 shut out of Seattle, which followed a crushing defeat to Philadelphia.

Yup! This is a game where Roy can shine.

I would say sure tackling and stay disciplined in your lanes. AD has shown the ability to be patient and will hit the cut back lane if the defense over runs the play. This is will be a very good test for the run defense and if they can shut down AD without loading up the box it should be a good day for the Cowboys
