So, gaining 115 yards on 14 carries is all luck right? He magically ended up with that statline last game. And, even though he only got 57 yards this game, he was both making peopl miss AND running through piles. That's what the TAPE shows.

Well, yeah, in a sense. Cause, he ain't gonna do it on a continuous basis.

And, since when do yards equal anything. Touchdowns do. And, dallas throws so much in the red zone for two reasons.

1. Ego man ex QB Garrett calling the plays
2. No faith in the running game.

So , Coach JeffinDC. Get back to that TAPE and tell me again just HOW many rushing TD's this team has so far?

I am pretty sure Rob Ryan's defense shut down the lions for the majority of the game. If you take away those two int for touchdowns then the cowboys win. This loss is solely on Romo and he accepted that saying he didn't protect the ball well enough and we will fix everything on the bye week.
If you take away the 2 pick sixes plus the three TD passes....Cowboys still lose.
Can't take one and not the other.

He was taking a stab at Romo for throwing three picks...

WRONG!!!!!!!!!

He was referring to Rob Ryan saying that Calvin would only be the 3rd best WR on the Cowboys.

????? What you saying is that Romo is OK as long as he has produced some positive points? How many games can we win if he just maintains neutral in the points scored and given away?

Ok, if this is your standard of QB play, I am ready for Steven McGee because he can probably produce at least +3 points a game while being 20 times cheaper.

He should send a thank you card to JG and Romo for that early Xmas gift.

Not saying that at all. And I did not say it was acceptable or not. Those picks sucked, no doubt.

I'm saying that he did not just throw picks, he also threw for 3 TDs. 21 points off of TD passes and at least 14 given back directly off of picks.

And it is not a breakeven propostion with Romo on TDs vs ints. Over the course of a season he always has more TDs and usually 2-3 times as many. Even with the 5 pics this year, he still has more TDs. I bet he ends up with about 30-34 TDs and about 12-14 picks.
That's all. You can't notice one without the other.

Hmmmm....really? So, we run for 125 last week and 113 this week for nice averages and we have no RB? And, RB's that can't see the hole? You mean the same Felix that on 3-4 plays in the game got hit at the line, yet drove the pile forward at least another 4-5 yards. Or, the Felix LAST GAME that use his excellent vision to break off huge chunks of yards by using all his cutback lanes? Or, Choice who, for the most part actually ran well yesterday? This was Romo and Garrett at their absolute worst. Everybody else did their jobs yesterday.

America's Best sells 2 pairs of glasses for $69 WITH a free eye exam. Just sayin'.

I agree with you from a Lions Fans perspective. Your RB's were killing us.

Yeah I could not even imagine what it has been like to be a Lions fan..as long as you...assuming you have been one sense Sims was there...

This is what is frustrating about it too. Tony threw the first INT late in the 3rd quarter. Had we have punted the ball a few times, we likely go into the 4th quarter up 27-3 or 30-3. You're then asking Detroit to score 4 touchdowns in 1 quarter to take the lead. Not going to happen with the way our defense was playing.

Calvin Johnson didn't even go over 100 yards. His two touchdowns were one prayer-throw by Stafford which was honestly a horrific throw into double coverage (Megatron bailed him out) and a fade pass 1 on 1 against a 5'10" CB.

23 of his 96 yards came on the first pass.

We had contained him to around 70 yards and no touchdowns until the 3rd (4th?) quarter.

I'm really happy with this defense moving forward.

Actually, That 1st TD to CJ is a routine play for us. CJ is ALWAYS OPEN 4 feet up. You can put 4 defenders on him and he will still out leap them. And if he don't out leap them, there will be flags flying because someone held him.

Exactly!! Last time I checked, there is still 12 more games to go. I am happy for the Lions fans who had to endure all those losing years. It's still a very long season.

And we will be no worse than 7-1 at our bye week. But, if I were a Cowboys fan, I would be hoping that the Lions make the playoffs. Heck, even hoping that they win the Super Bowl. But, hey, if you would rather see the Lions miss the playoffs, then you just got beat like that by a non-playoff team.

Not to take anything away from the all-mighty lions (who are superbowl bound no doubt) but I don't feel we got "beat like that". If anything, we beat ourselves. Historic collapse.

BTW: We get it, you won.

Now run along and go **** ********.

I have been a Lions Fan ever since I can remember. And Billy Sims is my all time favorite Lions RB. Yes, even over Barry Sanders. Billy Sims, if he didn't tear his knee to shreds, would have ran right on past Walter Payton within a year and a half and kept on going. Who knows, Emmitt may have never been able to pass him. But, we will never know.

But, I will say this. With Billy Sims, when we got 1st and goal, he was getting that ball across the goal line if it took him 4 tries to do it. It was going in.

I would have been back for my crow if the Lions had lost. I even figured this to be a loss for the Lions in my pre season predictions.

I just want to know if wconn and anyone else from this website that went to lionbacker.com and talked crap are going to man up and come back to eat their crow.

Jorge Sedano of 790 the ticket here in Miami said Andy Reid and Jason Garrett suffer from Smartest man in the room syndrome. He said yesterday their was zero excuse with both having leads Like that you should be putting your QB in that position. He said Romo and Vick are going to take the majority of the heat, but both coaches were responsible for their teams losing yesterday. I couldn't have agreed more.

This is a great post. Romo is gonna get thrown under the bus for this next week, just like what happened to Costa last week, and I think the blame lies on Garrett in both situations. They should have changed the snap count last week if the skins were mimicking our cadence. That's just simple.

This week, as has been well documented on this site, Garrett got too cute and smart rather than changing to gameplan at halftime.

It's a shame that Romo is going to take ALL the heat for this. Hopefully more people look at the coaching.

Congratulations to Lions. Coming back from 24 points in the third quarter? I have never seen a game like this before.

However, you do need to find a running game though. It seemed that Stafford was always in shotgun and throwing passes away.

Then go start your own thread and quit hijacking. I wouldn't waste my time posting on your little website.

Now if you want to talk about your potty-mouthed head coach, have at it.

As a Cowboys' fan, I would love to see the Lions in the playoffs. I don't think the Lions really want to play the Cowboys again. Your team lucked out, and you know it.
