Agree ...... I know some will laugh, but Schotty seems to have a certain it factor of leadership and communication.

Flanny, Brian Schottenheimer is honestly one of the most well-liked coaches in the NFL. He’s affable, a connector, and 100% projects as a guy who could be a better head coach than he was a coordinator because of his natural leadership qualities. He’s also done good work with quarterbacks, even if his time as a play-calling coordinator mostly came years ago (2006 to ’11 with the New York Jets, ’12 to ’14 with the Rams and ’18 to ’20 with the Seahawks).

He seems to be much sharper in interviews than McCarthy was , Schottenheimer may be a leader of men .He will allow his coaches to coach, and hopefully he will bring success to Dallas with a much improved culture and running game,he looks good so far I like what I see, can he bring some disapline to the team.I think the players will like playing for him and have bought in to his scheme.

I think he, and the entire coaching staff will be much better than expected. Most fans saying he is just another puppet.
From what we seen so far, he is not. There will be a learning curve, for Brian, and his staff, as well as the players and as usual the rookies.

Will that translate into winning the NFCE, making the playoffs. Yes, wait and see, it is all we can do.
But it does make this off-season much more exciting and to look forward to the season. Not expecting miracles.

This is no where the same nor is it an analogy. Kind of reminds me of when Jimmy and Jerry took over, and made changes, and a lot of them to build those SB teams. But from a fans standpoint, gives us something to look forward to, though we know there is a ways to go yet as well. Big difference is now though. Jerry is more set in his dilemma of doing it his way, but seems to be giving Brian a lot of leeway for his own staff, and player acquisition.

He might be the worst HC in NFL history. We're all going to find out soon enough... with that said, what I am seeing and liking is the humility to bring in coaches on his side of the ball, that bring something to the table that he does not. Even though he OC'd top rush offenses in NY and Seattle, he saw that was still an area he wanted to improve and brought in an OC that was better at it than he is. Coaches in the past like Mike and Red ball have such fragile ego's its hard for them to let another guy make decisions on their side of the ball and maybe take credit. We'll see if that translates into wins, but I like it.

Post of your career!!! Lol.

I was going to say that what he is will be revealed in adversity. Will he be a good clock manager or take risks in appropriate spots, etc.? That's what I want to see.
Uhhh thanks man this feels so good to be acknowledge finally!! lol

Yes I want to see too, I don't want to see him take all the blame though too, be one of those coaches that always says this one is on me it's on me, it's on the players too. I hope he has the guys ready to play every week

I'm a fan of Schottenheimer, have been a supporter ever since he first came to the Cowboys, but lets not get ahead of ourselves...Two things I think are true here:

1) The guy has been a better OC than what he gets credit for. He helped Dak get to a career best season in 2023. He also took an offense in 2024 that simply wasn't very good and got them to middle of the pack. I almost think his 2024 work was excellent given what he had to work with.
2) There is reason for optimism with the coaching staff, but also reason to tap the breaks especially on offense. A rookie HC, rookie OC, rookie OL coach, rookie WR coach.

"I think it's just like anything else."

Ten employers in 25 years and the worst GM in the NFL can see what no one else ever did. The Cowboys should play their home games in Disneyland. That’s where this kind of fantasy belongs.

lmao...you think he he was acknowledging you, but you don't realize he was making fun of you with "the best post of you career".

Can’t think of a decent coordinator that became a better HC than coordinator. The real good to great HC’s were all excellent coordinators. That’s how they got HC opportunities.
