Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys

I am no doctor of football, though I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I do know, however, that when you have 71 offensive snaps in a game, as the Cowboys had Sunday night in Washington, and Felix Jones touches the ball on 10 of them, you've made a game-planning error. Free Felix Jones.

You can read the rest of King's picks by clicking on the link. You can see the score he picks for the Cowboys and Bears, too.

The fact that King is right proves how obvious his point is to the general football world. You must force the defense to try and contain Felix anytime he is out on the field. He can run it up the gut, take it around the corner or catch a swing pass/screen and take any of them to the house. This puts a tremendous amount of stress on all aspects of the opposition's defense and will open things up for Witten and Austin and relieve some pressure off of the OL.

We weren't in our ordinary offense for that game and it's quite clear now why Jason got the ball out quickly.

OTOH, we've failed on the offense since late in the 2007 season. Not horribly so but off the mark.

Garrett seems to love "forgetting" about Felix against the Commanders.

JG is not going to change his stripes. We run a pass first offense.

As we should. We have a top QB throwing to top WRs in a passing league. We need to "free" Felix by getting him more involved in the passing game.

Get him more involved in general. The guy is a huge threat anytime he touches the ball. Now allow him to touch the ball.

If he gets hurt, so be it. At least we will have been putting ourselves in the best position to win. Get him at least 15 touches a game.

every year we seem to say the same thing about Felix but it never materializes (it didnt last year till late in the season).Felix is healthy and should be our featured back.

It's only natural since he played quarterback.

I don't care what you think about Garrett, Felix Jones has definitely been underused

I would have to agree. When you have a weapon like Felix you need to find ways of using him. Like most fans i would love to see what he is really capable of. The shame is that as much promise and potential Felix has shown I really feel like I dont know him. It seems like he has enough talent that you should be able to force opposing defenses to account for his ability. But up to this point it isnt the opposition that has taken Felix out of the game. It is the cowboys that have.

I know if I am a fan of another team and I am thinking about how we are going to beat the cowboys and what we need to look out for on defense, Felix wouldnt even be considered. And thats the problem. This isnt because Felix isnt dangerous or good enough to worry about. It's because I know Dallas will pull him out of the game and give some of his carries to Barber and Choice.

I like both Barber and Choice and if Felix were not on this team I would be happy with either starting. But neither Barber or Choice has the big play ability to force the defense to account for them.

Felix Does.

I really think what the Cowboys ofense needs is to give the ball to Barber and Jones more. Those two guys can get you 10 to 15 yards easly and we seen it last week when they gave them the ball they picked up chunks of yards everytime they ran a running play.I don't know what Garret was thinking last week but he did'nt call a very good game and I honestly think if he would have gave the ball to Barber and Jones and let them dominate that the Boys would have won that game.

Turn Barber and Jones loose and you will win plenty of games this year easly.

We'll win plenty of games regardless. But we could win more if we utilize the running game more.

Maybe you should worry about how ya'll will beat the Texans because I really DON'T see that happening!

Exactly you will win plenty of games regardless but you guys would be 10 times better if you did utilize the running game better. Those two can flat out play and just letting them run the ball occasionally is just wasting their talents.

Thanks for that captain obvious we have been screeching and hollering for that ALL week .......psssst I would like to award you a prize of one Alex Barron :lmao2:

Maybe you are right maybe we won't beat the Texans but I have a pretty good feeling that you did'nt see the Skins beating your Cowboys last week and we both know how that turned out.:lmao2:
