I heard Bradie James on Sirius yesterday afternoon with Willcotts and Schien and they asked what he thought of Spencer. He said that you can't tell a lot from just practicing in shorts but if Spencer brings the intensity he brought to minicamp and the level of play he had at mini camp, then he is going to really be special.

I didn't like our picking Spencer, maybe, hopefully I'm proven wrong and he's a beast. That would be a very good thing.

I was a bit shocked as well although someone (Maybe the DMN blog, not sure) said the day before the draft that we were targeting him. I was really hoping for Alan Branch since he slipped to us not once but twice.

With that said, I am full on board with the guys we picked even though I hated the move we made in the third round but I am rooting for them and will be their biggest supporter.

And I do think Spencer will be an excellent player for us.

Well, James said he was all over the place making plays (such as they were in shorts). He said he thought he was faster than he expected him to be. I thought one comment Bradie made was interesting (Not related to Spencer) but Schien asked him what the team attitude was with Wade as HC and he said Wade has brought a "Cowboy Renaissance" to the team.

He said that everyone has a great outlook and that everyone was there at the Minicamp except for Ellis (injury).

At least from Bradie's perspective, he thinks that our D is going to be studlike this year. He did mention how the D wilted at the end of the year and feels they will not let that happen again this year.

That's about all I can remember. I am over 40.

All throughout draft season, I never once picked Spencer in my 1st rd. mock draft for Dallas. In fact, I never picked him for ANY round. Once I started reading & hearing about him, though, I was mighty glad he's a Cowboy. We desperately needed a compliment to DWare, and we certainly got him.
