Most talk regarding what the Cowboys should do in the NFL Draft has been about offensive weapons. However, could the team take a fast-rising defensive back?

The Dallas Cowboys will be looking to add depth in a few positions when the team is on the clock during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Most of the talk surrounding the team has been about adding offensive weapons at wide receiver and running back.

However, could the team take an early pick on the defensive side of the ball? Could one fast-rising defensive back win over the front office and new head coach Brian Schottenheimer?

I an not opposed to Hairston round 2 and after. Under rated and played well in the best conference. If he and Revel were there at 44, it would be a tough call.

I don't mind taking a CB with the second- or third-round pick, although I prefer the third because of more pressing needs at WR and RB IMO. We need a direct replacement for Lewis and then if Diggs doesn't return at a high level, we might need to have a replacement in hand to take over as one of the starters. I think if we get quality play out of Elam, we should just count ourselves as fortunate.

Tre Amos at Ole Miss was my pick at 44 if they go corner which is really a desperation set since Diggs is gone for who knows how long and Butler is even further from a comeback . This position is thin .

We're not talking Boss Man Fat. This guy is even more athletic and has good character from what I see.

He may be from Kentucky, but that's where the similarities stop.

He only runs 24.25 MPH and runs a 4.2 40.

Led the league in INTs in 2023.

Hairston is a smooth mover. I don't think he'll be there.
Same. Likely won't be there at 44. They added him to the original 17 invited to the draft. Now it's 18 players.

Could be the Cowboys pick, imo, especially if they trade down. I'm not saying certain, but maybe. And l wouldn't be upset about it at all.
