SI: Cover - Why Dak Prescott Plays Like He's Been Here Before

The most impressive pass he made in the last game for me was the incompletion to Zeke, when he threw it in the flat at his feet. When he saw the pocket was collapsing and Zeke was the only option available after scanning the field, he noticed that Pacman Jones was coming in hard on him, so if he caught it, it most likley would have been a tackle for a loss (or at worst a tipped ball that would be a pick six), so instead he threw it at his feet. To think like that with rushers coming in on you is something you can't teach. I'm so psyched to see where he can go...I think his passing will improve with practice (less fluttery balls and more of a zip pass), but the mental aspect he's already wayyyy ahead of a rookie, let alone a 4th round pick.

I think guys like him and Russel Wilson (as much as I hate him) will make teams think twice about what qb projections are like...just because you're not a first rounder, doesn't mean you're a project that will take a few years before being able to play.

This line didn't play this well last year. McFadden was getting trash yards at trash points of the game. And Dak is better than those three QBs for sure.

A line that didn't play all that well last year paved the way for Darren McFadden to amass a 1,000 yards not even starting the entire season?

So you think McFadden is THAT good to get 1,000 yards behind a line playing average in a part-time role?

And how is McFadden getting "trash yards" when the Cowboys were basically losing games by 3, 4, 6, 7 margins?

Would you stil say this is they were playing the Browns?
Naw, if there is a SI jinx, the Browns have proved to be jinx busters.

This was a great article to read. My favorite part is the night that TMZ twitted he was "partying" with Snoop he was at work the next day on time and ready to go. I don't care what these guys do outside of work as long as it doesn't effect their preparations and concentration. From this article you think nothing can deter this kid. I'm starting to think nothing will.

I do think that's what probably happened. You'd think, though, that somebody doing the research would have figured it out. It's not like Dak didn't get a ton of pre-draft scrutiny.
What they all missed even the cowboys was Dak's work ethic and learning ability and his desire to succeed.

Some teammates roll their eyes at the idea of living in Frisco, a strip-malled McSuburb; trendy Uptown is only 30 miles away. But Prescott loves waking up at 6 a.m. and being at work, in the hot tub, by 6:15. “If I don’t hit the traffic light,” he says, “I can be there in two minutes.”
It's easy to see why he's so advanced. This mindset is not normal.

The great ones think like this.

Why do you hate Wilson?

Great read!

My favorite part was the free tickets to Kanye. He knew he would get home until after midnight and also thought about the "perception" of it.

Also loved the waiter who did the double take and said, whats up Zeke!! Lol

You don't make any sense 75% of the time. Is that what you are going for?

To learn the role of sarcasm in posting, you need do nothing more than study Risen's comments.

If you take them at face value, you miss the deep waters that runs there.
