Didn't see this posted. If it has been, Please merge.

Here is Dr. Z's rankings... he has Dallas at #2 and isn't too complimentary of the Patriots.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/dr_z/12/05/ranks.part1/index.html

He also has this little blurb in the paragraph by the Green Bay Packers:

Here's an aspect of the game I forgot to write about -- the way the Cowboys' RT, Marc Colombo, controlled Aaron Kampman, who's been destroying right tackles all season. Is Colombo really that good? Never thought so. Guess I'm going to have to include him when I do my workup of the tackle position for my all-pros.

It's nice to see Marc getting some accolades from people. Particularly since he played most of that game with a sprained ankle. Wonder if Dr. Z knows that?

Colombo's also 3rd in pro bowl voting so far. His contract is getting higher as the year goes on.

If he does make all-pro, he'll be really expensive.

What is the going rate for a high end RT these days? I can't imagine him braking the bank, but I'd assume one that has played as solid as he has this year can ask for a fairly large sum. I would imagine our Oline's salary would be at, or near, the top of the NFL.?

We can not possibly sign all the FAs, and we have three young tackles waiting in the wing. I doubt we will break the bank for him.

I think he should be the priority over Flozell. They will probably ask for similar money, but Colombo is going to be around much longer.

i would agree, especially since colombo is much younger.

can jerry afford to keep both flo and colombo?

somehow i just don't see that happening.

Yes, he can. Colombo is counting $3 million against the cap this year. A new deal might increase that, depending on how it's structure. It could also go down with a bigger deal.

Columbo is the best player that no one has ever heard of. We really lucked out taking a chance on him. I love Bill's methodology of taking chances on former high draft picks, the idea being that someone along the line saw something about him that justified the pick in their mind.

Of course it also burned him with Mirer when he was with the Jets, but I need not bring that up.

I liked it.

Funny thing is... the old biddy probably spent a fortune flying down, getting hotel rooms, etc., only to have to sit through us drubbing her boy Favre.

Even if she was just a local who pulls for Green Bay, there were still many GB Fans that made the trip only to go home losers. :D

Moreover, how much are the Bears kicking themselves for letting their 2002 1st rounder flourish elsewhere?

Will we say the same thing about Carpenter playing somewhere else, soon?

No way is she local. She's got that Green bay look about her.

You know the "I've been rode hard and put away wet, on a cold winters day" look about her.

Bobby didn't blow his kneecap out his butt and have to rehab for three years solid.

The GB fan in your pic reminds me of the landlord lady from the movie Kingpin.. but anyway.. I have went to see the cowboys play 4 times in my life.. all at pretty good expense and they have lost all 4 times.. so i am not going back.
