Truth.....our road to the promise land now go through Washington AND Philly. In other words, we need to retool or rebuild ( whatever you wanna call it ) this team to on their level. I admitt, I have no clue what it will take but they are now the standard until proven ortherwise.

What We Learned in NFL Divisional Round: Defenses Stepped Up to Help Star QBs

Championship weekend's star-studded quartet of quarterbacks have made it this far thanks to supporting defenses that made huge plays in the divisional round.

On the surface, the four remaining teams in the NFL playoffs signify the importance of having a franchise quarterback. But it’s not that simple when it comes to forming a championship-caliber roster.

What Jayden Daniels did in his two playoff victories isn’t normal for a rookie quarterback. He’s clearly a superstar, but his roster with the Washington Commanders supposedly had no chance of beating the Detroit Lions, a No. 1 seed with a stacked offense.

The Commanders’ new regime planted the seeds in the offseason by finding players who would fit well in Kliff Kingsbury’s offensive scheme and Dan Quinn’s defensive scheme. They spent wisely in free agency, focusing on fit rather than star power.

What I learned from this weekends games is that the NFL is reaching the point of becoming unwatchable. I'm normally not a conspiracy theorist who complains about the officiating, but no one can ignore how bad the games were called this weekend. What is the fascination with the Chiefs? It's gotten to the point where Mahomes is so accustomed to getting the calls his way he has resorted to flopping. The NFL should be embarrassed but we know, like Jerry, all they care about is the cash flow. Having Taylor Swift involved has increased their viewership 10 fold and they seem to be trying to milk every penny out of it while they can.

I really have no desire to watch the games any longer. The NFL needs a major officiating overhaul, and they need to do it before they run off most of the fan base.

I also noticed that the star QB's didn't just mail it in for an entire half of football and they actually kept their teams competitive.
I believe Hurts is the worst QB left in the playoffs, but I'll give the guy credit. I didn't think he'd be back in after that play where both his knees were bent back into his body. Dude is one tough S.O.B. and shows leadership.

You can’t be a no show for 3 quarters throwing int’s then show up in the 4th, not sure why people don’t realize that those 1 1/2 quarters against soft D don’t tell the real story
Go look at every one of his games against above average teams and you see the same trend. Starts the game and the offense can barely move the ball through the air. Throws are off, or simply panics. Once they fall behind by a couple of scores, he tries to force it and that further compounds the issue because now it opens him up to tossing those INTs. Once the opponent gets a comfortable enough lead their defense backs off. Prescott leads the team to a couple of scores and then at the end people look at it and go - well clearly the offense scored points but the defense did nothing. Meanwhile the real story is that the offense kept going 3 and out for over a half a football putting the defense out there over and over again.

None of the Superstar QBs played like superstars in the last series of games. The one that played the best was the rookie.

Bucky nails it here........

This........as Jimmy like to say, QBs are judge by their negative plays
Add Jackson 2 turnovers to the list

....can we mention Mark Andrews' mistakes in the 4th quarter, and game on the line. He looked like Jackie Smith (do the research) in the SB.

True and he is a stud in the making for sure. But a lot of the games were also played in bad weather so that adds to the equation. But even in those conditions the QB's in this list played well and largely did not contribute to their teams loss. In fact the only QB who contributed to their teams loss this weekend was Jared Goff who played in a dome and whose turnovers killed his defense - a lot like Dak against GB.

No real Cowboys fan should have to research Jackie Smith. I watched it live when it happened. I saw Staubach's 'Hail Mary' play when it happened too.

Lions had about dozen guys injured or out. It finally caught up with them.
