Siaki Ika waived big DT

He was drafted in 2023 by the Browns who cut him the following year. How bad do you have to be to get cut in 1 year after being a 3rd round draft pick. What I read last year is that he was really slow and had nothing, which is why I preach caution when it comes to draft picks. The NFL is a totally different animal and guys who had success in college struggle when the face NFL talent week after week after beating up on mediocre college players from schools with weak programs most of the time.
It might be his work ethic.

Wait, KC wasted a 3rd round pick on a player. Where is the outrage. They had a bad draft on him. I thought they could do no wrong.
Cleveland wasted a 3rd round pick on him, not KC. Drafted in 23', cut in 24'. Picked up by Philly to the practice squad, then cut. Picked up by KC to the PS, then cut.

His next team will be his 4th since just 2023....not good.

  • Billed as a quick for his size - but he underperformed at the combine where his numbers in the agility drills were all lower than the 15th percentile
Being just big isn't a recipe for success in the NFL.
Something else has to be going on though, is his work ethic awful, or does he move like a sloth out there?

Uh yeah, we like our guys.

I mean . . . Mingo got beaten out by an UDFA.

He was rated highly by the draft consensus experts. I thought maybe they were right. But he must have been pretty awful.
