Sideline Drama started all the problems

Dak needs to learn to read defenses better, see the field, react to pressure better, and Linehan needs to help him out as does Wilson. Wilson for the Seahawks played worse but they didn't turn the ball over like we did. That's what cost us the game. If you want to dissect out the reasons for it go ahead but they aren't simply one or two things. It's complicated including the OL not blocking well enough. But most of it is on Dak not reading the defense and finding the open man.

We are stuck with Dak so our hopes are on him learning to play the game at the cerebral level which separates the level of play. The rest is a sideline problem that needs addressing like Dez, swing tackle, contracts and yada yada.

A lot of this stuff isn't even new or "drama". Fox and Joe Buck are the ones who like to stay focused on Dez and keep the camera on him and make something out of nothing. Happens every game Buck does. Even the games where Aikman is there and Buck isn't you don't see this stuff. Don't let Fox fool you into thinking something new or different is happening.

So if you don't see Dez' meltdown it doesn't happen? Head in the sand?

They need to move Collins back inside to guard(where he was dominant) and draft a stud RT. Or buy one in free agency. They really could use two OTs.

Love how things were going well and yet Dez was crying on the sidelines. Wish we had a coach who would sit him down and just bench his ***.

Instead we cater to him and he repays us with two backbreaking turnovers
You can't blame Garrett for the problems with Dez.
That's all on Jerry and Steven they insisted he play because they pay him so much, and they insist that he gets so many targets a game.
and garrett is a yes boy so what is he going to do?
Jg gets 6 MIL a year to say 2
Words.... Yes Jerry

If you've ever been on a sideline you know that crap doesn't mean anything. If it gets to you, then you are very weak minded. I don't like it but it doesn't mean a thing.
In High School the HC is in total control.

In the Pros the top paid player that makes way more than the HC and is enabled by the owner is definitely a distraction.

I worked a season as water boy for a Pro Team. How much time have you spent on a Pro Sideline?

What would Bill Parcells have done? Bet Bill would have DEZ sit rest of the game.
Parcells would have sent him home.

Jimmy would have had some OLinemen hold him while Jimmy kicked him in the groin and then would have sent him home.

I've actually spent a lot of time with pro players. I dont think all that crap matters, but maybe I'm wrong. Merry Christmas.

Why do you think ex players/coaches that join the media harp on locker-room issues? The sideline is an extention of the lockerroom.

Why do you think Jimmy benched Irvin for being late to the plane. Irvin was known to be at the airport but Jimmy told the pilot to leave anyway. Irvin had to buy a ticket and managed to get to the game on time but Jimmy still benched him.

High School kids only spend a small percentage of their life in football activities. Pros spend a large percent of their time in football activities and it becomes their identity with family/friends/fans/media. It's a completely different mindset.

Imagine if freshmen through seniors were all on the same team and the biggest star player is a Senior that has a complete meltdown. The freshmen would definitely be affected.

I hear you. I started 10 sophomores one year. The media dubbed the the Super Sophs. Our seniors were not happy. 6 of them ended up playing college ball.

The most obvious thing to me is that we need a true #1 WR, a offensive coordinator that stays away from the cute plays and runs the ball of the 2 yard line at least twice along with giving help at LT when the LT is getting beat like a drum, and a swing tackle that can actually play and not get beat every dang down. Worst play calling I have ever seen in 50 years. We can complain about the defense but frankly they played pretty good if not for the stupid turnovers we win 12-0 anyway.

I am over hearing about Dez and his sideline antics. Then go out and cause two turnovers which lead to 14 points. He's already gone in my eyes. He is hurting Dak's development more than helping him.
Hurting Daks development. If you put his progress in graph form, it would be a downhill ski slope.

He's worse right now, than his first game.

It’s not complicated— when you have someone in your organization who creates a combative environment like he does/did—it affects everyone.

It’s an emotional sport. You see dozens of players who get emotional on the sideline to get performance out of their teammates. what I see Dez do is more confrontational than motivational.

Bottom line— he isn’t good enough to outweigh his behavior.
