If there is any silver lining, it may be that Suh will be a huge focus of the referees. No doubt Garrett will have this conversation pre-game with them. Anything resembling a "cheap shot," blow to the head, hands to the face, etc. should draw a flag. Might even cause Suh to tone down some of his aggression (knowing that a suspension is guaranteed the next time).
 
Or it means he knows he got away with it, so will do it again, or something worse.
Who cares if he gets a penalty if Romo, or Murray, or someone else is out of the game.
 
He'll get ejected if he tries to do something dirty. I agree, there's a target on his back.

Why should he tone it down? If anything, him getting away with means he can turn it up a notch.

I think he might be a sociopath. Good thing he has football as an outlet or he might really be dangerous.

I said something similar in another thread. His actions aren't just passion and competitiveness coming through. This guy has real issues.
 
Suh is too stupid to care if there is a target on his back. Business as usual for him.
 
I agree with the OP. Refs will have a quick flag not only on Suh but all Lions imo. Suh's return helps them tremendously but they don't have any psychological "underdog" edge even though Vegas says they were already. They got away with something and now karma and an L await them.
 
I don't think Suh will do anything outlandish to Tony.

But if he does my money's on Dez.
 
He is the epitome of why some people hate pro football. I hope Martin is fully recovered from his ankle injury and he and Frederick squash him, repeatedly.

I agree on the knee shot - but to say a cheap shot on a Cowboy in a playoff game after a ruling on this player after his history means nothing as far as the leagues image - I don't think so. There are several tweets out there from ESPN and NFL analysts saying this is a horrible decision and could haunt the league if something does happen.

But it is what it is now - just go out and play.
 
The O-line isn't going to face a better DT in the playoffs, so he's a formidable test for sure. Also, I've already read the excuses on other sites in regards to Detroit only losing this game if Suh doesn't play. Well, that crap just flew out the window, so it's time for a new excuse.
 
Here's the silver lining that I see - with everyone saying that Detroit didn't have a chance without Suh playing, I would think that the rest of the Detroit defense would be playing with a chip on their shoulder. Maybe that extra *incentive* has now been removed. Still, I don't agree with the members here that have been saying 'bringing Suh on...we'll kick their a$$es anyways' - Romo is one cheap shot to the back away from a playoff and/or career-ending injury, and Suh is just the type of player who would actually be trying to achieve that result with any opportunity (legal or not) that presents itself during the game.
 
Romo needs to watch a few soccer games to learn how to flop if Suh touches him.

Romo also needs to toughen up his nuts like this guy and really enhance his toughness reputation if Suh tries a repeat of the Matt Schaub 'incident':
