i hate losing as much as the next guy but a small part of me is glad we won't be NE's victim in the SB.. making it and losing by 30 would be worse than this.. found this quote from vela:

"It had a chance to win the NFC, but let’s be realistic. It was clear from week six that it didn’t have the secondary to match up with New England’s receivers, even at full strength. Look at what the Giants did to Jacques Reeves today for further proof."

we need at least 2 new corners.

Yeah, I have known for a while that our secondary was gonna hurt us when we started playing against the better QBs in the playoffs.

Playing the Pats when they are at full strength would have beena difficult task. But anything can happen in a game. Just look at yesterday. Both road underdogs pulled out victories. Any given Sunday.....

1 and done was not what anyone wanted. I'd rather NE hang 52 points on J.Reeves in a 15 minutes then loose to Eli Gomer Manning and the NY crew.

Thats just me.

Exactly. At least that would have been significant progress.

This....we just made it one round further by default. Then, folded up and played dead like normal. Can't find anything encouraging to say about that.
