As great as the Giants pass rush was at times, the Cowboys know that they can burn their defense. We had several big plays in both of the regular season games and our undoing was our own in the playoff game. If the Giants are the best the NFL has to offer, then the Cowboys are in great shape going forward. Next season should be quite enjoyable.

I will not get excited about The Boys games next season until we win a playoff game.
Also, Looks like The reg season doesn't mean much of late.

I guess I'm still hurting from this years playoff game.
Sorry, Can't be too confident about next year.

Yet.

I'm confident about next year.

Even if we don't duplicate 13-3, we still can take hope that if we make the playoffs, we can make a Super Bowl run.

Remember, this team is a road warrior team also.

Remember, this team is still young on defense and at the quarterback spot.

Remember, this team is going to mature.

Remember, this team is playing in a tough NFC East, which means it will be battle tested.

Remember, this team hopefully has learned that smack talking, Jessica trips and powering down after cliching home field advantage can come back to bite you.

I'm optimistic. It would be different if this team were aging and on the brink of decline. Then I would be more upset about losing in the playoffs.

But it generally takes a team about four years to go from young squad to Super Bowl.

We're in year 3.

This division once again has regained the title it had traditionally held, that of toughest division in football. I would not be surprised if the Giants victory yesterday signalled a renaissance of the NFC East, which (outside of the 49ers) collectively dominated the NFL from 1982-1995. 8 Super Bowl titles in a 14 year period.

Heck, the Niners of that era could claim themselves as an honorary member of our division, seeing as their playoff encounters with all three teams were something fierce. Pretty damn good. That's good for me, becuase the late-80s/early 90s were something of a cherished era in NFL history for me.

I find it very hard to find the silver lining in us underachieving when it mattered the most.
