I am typically a Cowboys pessimist but here are my silver linings:

1. We are 2-0 in the division.
2. We won a game on the roadd with 18 penalties and a turnover.
3. We have an early bye this year. Buys Dez and Romo an extra week.
4. The pass rush calvary is coming: Gregory in a week or two and Hardy in week 5. Imagine what this game would have looked like with those guys bending the edge against Bradford.
5. The LB calvary is coming: Ro will give an already scary LB corps a huge physical presence.
6. The next 2 games are very winnable.
7. Christine Michael will be a nice addition to the RB stable, as we are going conservative the next couple months.
8. We have a 10-day break after T-giving game, which is when I expect both Romo and Dez to come back. If we are .500 or better, we can make a playoff run.
9. Our new 2nd stringer has significant experience in Lineman's system, is very smart, and can actually be a viable option if Weeden completely face plants.
10. The division sucks.

What makes people think they'll be out until December? I think we'll see them both back for week 10 versus Tampa. Romo himself said 8 weeks and Dez is a freak of nature who I expect to heal on the short end of his timetable. Maybe we hold Dez out until week 12 but definitely not Romo.

They are reporting 8 weeks. I said after Tgiving game (so they get 10 days to prep), which is about right.

8 weeks is week 10 genius. No point in keeping them out 2 more games unless it's medically necessary.

Hopefully the main silver lining is that this injury occurred early in the season and he can still come back. I hope Romo doesn't need season ending surgery but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Might as well be optimistic, and hope for s strong stretch run into the post-season.

The OL truly has something to prove now, since they didn't look good today, and got their QB injured.

The team clearly has several key pieces missing, and their backs are against the wall.
They're all likely to hunker down and overcome this adversity.

They'll probably be 5-4 or 6-3 when the boys get back together, and can use this adversity to create a championship-caliber commitment.

Today's win was huge, though.
Weeden came in cold, and proved he could be trusted. And when the bottom-feeding e-gals smelled blood, our D shut them down.

As Tony said in the post game interview, the NFL is all about adversity. He thinks the team will respond well, and I agree with him.

You forgot to mention what a SUPERIOR FOOTBALL PLAYER Sean Lee is. Instincts are second to none. Like having a smart play making QB for the defense. He really needs to stay healthy.

Profootballtalk reports Tony Romo will bypass surgery on his broken left collarbone, and be sidelined eight weeks.
It appears the earliest Romo is going to return will be Dallas' Thanksgiving showdown with the Dolphins. Realistically, he might need the extra 10 days to complete his healing, delaying his return until Week 12. As Aaron Rodgers and Nick Foles have shown in recent seasons, collarbones can be frustratingly slow injuries to recover from for quarterbacks.

Plenty of positives for sure. Cannot wait for Gregory and Hardy to wreak havoc (on the field).

Hitchens-McClain-Lee are going to be awesome if they can play together for an extended period of time.

if this team can get everyone back healthy and ready to go by week 11 and still have a favorable record then watch out.

Hitch is playing great but to get back Ro with Lee it's going to be scary good! I think they will help each other out and take pressure off of each other to not have to make all the plays by themselves.
