Simple Question give an opinion

OG.
kenyon green,texas a&m.
i think we get our DE in the 2nd.
i like myjai sanders,cincinnati,others don't.
i also like kingsley enagbare, south carolina...he has the size and long arms quinn likes.
and i like usc's drake jackson.
i wouldn't be shocked tho if they went wr at 24.
in that case,i like chris olave, ohio st...excellent route runner and good hands.
i also like treylon burks,arkansas...i'm a sucker for big receivers that play with physicality.
he checks those boxes for me.
if they decide to get 1 at 56 instead...my guy there is purdue's david bell.
tough as a head ache...good hands.
those purdue kids are tough and tough minded.
john metchie,bama is another one.
excellent hands...excellent route runner as well.
and georgia's george pickens...see treylon burks.
big...physical.

but all things equal...we gotta get our oline right.
kenyon green OR zion johnson, boston college would do that on day 1.

i've had a gutt feeling lately that bernhard raimann,ot-c michigan could be a target at 24.
i love his size.
plays nasty.
when wil mcclay said there are alot of ot's he sees that could be og's...i thought there goes green or johnson...it could be another position or a ot.

anyway...dont mind me.
just thinkin out loud.

The best laid plans…
what other de's do you like at 56?
i'm a fan of myjai sanders, cincinnati and usc's drake jackson.
i watched a handful of cincinnati games...and sanders always impressed me.

Bonnito is probably next in my list but there’s a big drop off of Mafe for me.

as an ou fan...i like him.
but i don't know if he fits quinn's type...height arm length.
i'm intrigued by san diego state's cammeron thomas.
im enamored with his size but i know nothing about him.
i didnt watch a single san diego st game.

I don't know if there will be a DE at 24 that will be the same rating as the OL, WR or LB that might be there. Maybe Ojabo falls there with a real good upside but still kind of raw and with the idea that his counterpart at Michigan was probably getting most of the attention so he may have gotten less and had an easier path to the QB. The DEs that probably will fall to us, IMO, will be players that might have pass rushing skills but lack in the run defense game or the opposite. I

I think the Cowboys probably want to go Oline with Linderbaum, Green or Zion.

However if they cannot bring in a DE they may take one but here is another scenario for everyone to consider. What if they double dip at LB (with one in the first) and due to necessity move Micah to primarily DE.

Just something to consider.

He was on my list early and reminded me a bit of JJ Watt, but the more I look into him, the further down on my wish list he goes.

Thomas was one of the first DEs I studied in this draft..he's a very good prospect imo. He can help.

My thought is DE is a premium position while LG is a less must have position. Cowboys can find a LG in the 2nd or 3rd round, but DEs are available for a limited time only. I do like guys like Bonitto n Barno as speed rushers outside the 1st round.

LG or DE the biggest needs. If you don’t address either in a meaningful way via FA or trade I would say DE is the biggest need. Easier to get a OG in 2 vs a WDE.
Maybe it’s just me, but I have absolutely zero confidence in the scouting department finding a quality DE in the late first round. I still remember how big of a crush that Jerry had on the LSU DE Chaisson. The kid may have improved a little since his rookie season with Jacksonville. He was so bad his rookie season that he was struggling to get playing time with the third stringers during preseason.

Simple Question give an opinion. Since we have needs on both sides of the ball
do you see Offense or Defense the biggest need at pick #24 and what position ?
D is most obviously the bigger need. We keep losing because we can't stop teams.

Offensive linemen seems to always be undervalued until the middle of the season when the QB is getting killed on every pass play and the RBs are averaging 1.2 yards a carry. Other teams have scouts capable of finding good offensive linemen later in the draft, but it takes a line consisting of first round draft picks to have success building an offensive line in Dallas.

This is true, we are talking about the Cowboys.

If you need a 1st rounder at every offensive line position you’re doing something really wrong.

The teams winning Super Bowls aren’t stocked with first round linemen, that’s for sure. But they somehow get by well enough to win it all.

For all of the first round investments in offensive line and running back, this team has won nothing of consequence. Time to realize that over investment in the offensive line isn’t giving us the desired return.

Highest graded player. If they're graded about equal I would give the nod to defense but they'll probably give the done to offense.

I'd say Defense, possibly even corner, since bossman fat is still mysterious and anthony brown will be a 30 year old free agent next year.
