Simply put, Dez must dominate

We all love this new running game we have this year, and rightfully so.

But to win games like these coming, our best player must dominate. There is no one on the football field that can guard Dez, and he has to make the defenses pay every single time they fail to double him.

The coaches also need to do their part. We have set everything up this year with our basic tendencies. Double routes galore as well as play action over the top must be coming in three next few weeks. Our line is good enough to hold up long enough in pass pro.

Dez hasn't had a touchdown in his last two games, and hasnt had over 100 yards in his last 3. In fact he's only had over 100 yards receiving three times this season.

If we are going to win out and make the playoffs (and potntially the No. 2 seed) Dez is going to have to dominate every time the ball is in the air.

not so sure about teams not able to dominate Dez... dont get me wrong, he is a receiver that will give any team headaches for sure, but there are times and some games where he seems to get lost and doesnt seem to find a way to be open. litttle fustrating, but I think our running game is what has helped some of that. That is the reason the Eagles #1 priority is to stop Murray and turn us back into a one dimensional team

what we need to do is utilize a better variety of pass plays being called, use Dez in the slot more, and utilize the middle of the field more often. We seem to always prefer the out and up plays, leaving the entire middle to Witten alone. T. Williams needs to be trusted to catch some more balls, as well as Beasley and escobar.

The key to this game is spread the ball around to multiple receivers, short screen plays to keep their defensive line at bay, and less predictable offensive playclling (stop running every 1st down for example). This should all help the running game which we should use alot of to wear that defense out as well as carve out some yardage and keep their offense off the field which did wear us out with their fast pace in the last game.

Dez is very very good. He isn't unstoppable. He's not in the Calvin Johnson league, at least not yet.

But yes we need a big game from him and Tony and I believe we will get it.

the good news is that Romo probably hasn't felt this good in weeks. I expect him to air it out.

I think Beasley will be the factor. If he creates separation as fast as he does he may have some more targets coming his way.

I agree with the OP' a game like this is when we need Dez to dominate. The eagles secondary is far from great.

This game will be THE reference point during his contract negotiations. If he doesn't dominate a mediocre secondary in a must-win game....

the last thing we need to do is force the ball to dez.

he will get his regardless...but we damn sure don't need to force the ball to him in triple coverage while others are running wide open.

it's time to to throw to escobar, golden, and williams..hell maybe it's time for devin to get into the act as well.

i expect a great game from t-will,witten and golden.

i think demarco and randle have a great game too.

You are correct sir!

Anyone got stats on Dez in the slot this year? I'm assuming that's the best way to get him in single coverage.

If Dez has a big game then we will be scoring quicker than we would with the running attack. That's not a good thing. That gives the Eagles more possessions and gets our defense worn out by the end of the game. I like Dez and I want him to be successful but our current D can't handle being on the field a whole lot.

That ball Tony threw to Dez in the first or second series of the game, inside the left hash into double coverage right at the snap? I'd throw that all day until the Eagles show they can stop it. No time for the rush to get there, and he gets the ball inside in the open field. They can run plays like it on the other side to the TEs, too.

Romo should of thrown it up to Dez on that 3rd and 1 from mid field he had a step. Oh well, good half.

Good Call boss....We only go as far as Dez and Romo.

Murray had fun eating off Dez, and not having having 8 in the Box 100% of the time.
