Since 1960, that's the W-L record of a team whose quarterback throws for 300+ yards with a 140+ pass rating in a game. Last night, McCown had 348 yards with a rating of 141.9.

Until two years ago, teams were undefeated (141-0) when their QB had that kind of performance, The two losses have come very recently -- 2011 and again this year.

Garrett making all the wrong kinds of history.

Not even Wet Suit and Q-Man were putting this kind of nonsense up on a regular basis.

In case nobody is going to check both those losses were Tony Romo. Once against the Broncos and another time against the Giants.

Edit: Percy beat me

Wow.

Unreal.

but of course the romo haters will say this is nothing; etc. Meaningless stats (stats are always meaningless to them)

There is no QB of this era expected to do more with less than Tony Romo.

I have posted here many a time that we better appreciate Tony while we got him, because we are gonna have a tough time replacing him.

In December and January games since 2009, Romo has a 100+ rating 12 times. The Cowboys are 6-6 in those games.

During that time, when PManning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Rivers, Flacco, Smith, Dalton, Schaub, and Kaepernick go over 100+ in December and January, those 10 quarterbacks have combined to lose 6 games.

Their teams are 94-6.

If we were to blow every pick next year on defense, I wouldn't bat an eye.

By the way, the two losses in the 152-2 belong to Romo.

Romo is 4-2 when he does it, and the rest of the world is 148-0 when they do it.

Meaning all the other teams of those 148 games have average defense atleast! :)

Amazing stat. It just shows what Romo is being asked to do.

Percy, you're a gem here. If I start a Zone wolfpack, you're in it.

and me, of course? :D

Great find. Like I was saying last night, ridiculous people are blaming Romo for the debacle last night..

Sometimes stats can be misleading. Sometimes numbers can be twisted to make a point. This is absolutely NOT one of those times. These figures are very telling and will make it hard for the biggest of Romo's haters to spread their nonsense, at least in this thread.

Really makes you wonder how bad things would be if we didn't have a franchise QB right now. Keep in mind even after the Mon night debacle we're still very much alive and will likely be playing for a playoff spot week 17.

Thanks once again, Percy. Those stats are amazing (and depressing.)

We've pissed away his career. So depressing.

What's sad is we just may end up doing that. And because certain people in the media and in our fanbase have an agenda they'll attach that win-loss record to Romo, when in reality he's probably the main reason this team is even competitive. One man can only make up for so many shortcomings that a 53 person team has.
