I was just playing into the board drama. I know I shouldn't do that but my impulses get the best of me.
I really don't like what we have going on at back up right now. I just don't like it, joe. I really liked Kitna when he played. I thought he always played on a bad team... but he's 38 and I fear he may have B.J. syndrome. That's right. You're familiar with Brad Johnson syndrome, where your arm resembles a wet noodle and your wheels are rusty and squeaky. At this point, Kitna may need a walker.
Behind him is McNeil. I'm not sure I like him much. He's an Aggie and he reminds me of Quincy Carter without the hype. Just a fast guy with athleticism.... I'm afraid he doesn't have it upstairs. But that's just from what I gather from what I've seen and read. I'm not sure what the fascination is/was with McNeil.
I do know one thing. One player I don't want to lose is Romo. I don't think we've addressed the back up spot there as well as we could have. From what I've seen Kitna has lost some accuracy. But with our weapons, you never know, joe. A true Dallas Cowboy fans never says die.
oh ok, yeah, sometimes things just go over my head, and i miss it,
i understand what your saying about kitna, he scares me just alittle, but i think we will be ok with him this year, his arm was alot stronger when he first started out, but brad johnson never really had a big time arm to begin with,
i think we will be ok, this year on backup qb, but we need to groom one soon for next year, i really do like nicholls, i think he has long range potential for 4 years or so down the road, just needs alot of tutoring and developing
exactly do i learned that old saying, its aint over till the fat lady sings, i was at the cowboys Commanders game when roger staubach got knocked out, the game was almost over and duane thomas was about to score, i jumped up and hollered kill him, caught myself and felt about about it, so thinking game was over i started walking out, i got outside the tunnel where you come in to your seats, and i heard yelling, i ran back in and saw drew pearson celebrating in the endzone, boy did i ever learn then, its aint over till the fat lady sings and like you said; A true Dallas Cowboy fans never says die
