Since folks forgot Dez Bryant

I love me some Dez, but since the end of the Romo era (2015-2017) he has only had 2 multiple touchdown games (both 2 TDs) and 3 games over 100 yards (zero over 120 yards).

Compare that to 2014 alone, where he had 4 games over 100 yards (two games over 150 yards) and 4 multiple touchdown games (including a 3 TD game).

His production has definitely dropped off, but I think the loss of Romo is severely underrated in the reasoning for his decline.

Yeah the loss of romo really had an effect on that one bouncing off his face mask or those others off his hands. If it was Romo throwing the ball those never would have happened.

Of course, he was playing with a rookie qb the last 2 season, who also struggled this season, production drop is expected, let alone you had beast in the backfield. Romo leaving definitely played a role.

I know he struggled with some drops, but he was credited with 1 less than Julio Jones.
Then folks say his skills are diminishing.

It’s not just the drops it’s the lack of production he’s had the past three seasons. Julio Jones just put up 1400+ yards for the fourth straight season. It used to take one of the better corners in the league to contain Dez, now average corners are shutting him down and frustrating him. He doesn’t come down with as many jump balls as he used to and he doesn’t break as many tackles as he used to. He’s clearly lost a step and isn’t as explosive as he once was. He’s still very talented but his skills have diminished some.

Dallas in recent past has shown that they're more times than not going to hold on to older player or those who are not productive. They let Ware go and no one thought that would happen. Romo could have easily been kept around. And from what Stephen Jones has said about players it's reasonable to suggest players like Bryant and Scandrick could very well not be here.

Here's one of them...

Saying that is like saying a tornado is "a little summer breeze"......fact is he chokes when the team needs him to step up the most.

He hasn't had a 1000 yd season in years.......that averages to 62.5 yards per game which isn't too much to ask for a 12.5M per year #1 reciever.

One irrefutable fact is he made a damn good catch in GB a few years ago and it ticks me off that this week we hear, oh, by the way.
