Aikman

Why start this thread right after a game of ours in which Johnson called and slobbed our knob?
DBoys has been crying about Aikman for a couple of days now (no offense DBoys), so I decided to grant his wish. For the record, Aikman is the better analyst, imo.

:lmao2:

Can I say that you guys have been crying that Aikman is better ;)

I do appreciate you creating the poll

I like Moose better, but Hos, before you put on your helmet and rupture my spleen, pancreas, and liver, hear me out.

I like Aikman. I just like Moose a little bit better.

BTW, does anyone think that Jimmy Johnson is ultra homer?

Yeah, but you'd be off base.

The crying has been that Aikman is anti-Cowboys and too hard on us. This side's contetnion has been that he's not a homer.

Just answer me this. Fox loses their NFL contract for some reason.

Who would the networks go after harder and offer more money for?

Moose?

Aikman?

Just be honest.

I don't think so he has been critical of us in the past. I think he is very objective.

I cant say either way, I dont pay attention to anyalists, BUT if Aikman was calling the name he would have praised as just as DJ did.

You're welcome. :) The poll is receiving attention from posters here, but it would also be interesting to know which announcer Fox Sports thiinks is better.

IMO, one way to determine their opinion would be to gauge which man has been designated to call the most high profile games week-to-week. I don't have any hard data, but I believe that the edge favors Aikman in that category. And the advantage may not even be close.

Aikman easily 3 Rings, HOF etc.

I think Moose is more personable and genuine.

Aikman is on their #1 broadcast team, Moose is the #2 team

I don't see why they split them up to begin with. Too many Cowboys in the booth? I thought they were a great team in the booth. I don't care who the third man is, Moose and Aikman were great at teaming up to analyze a game. If I had to pick one, though, probably Moose.

Aikman is far and away better, not even close, and the only reason why Moose will get votes here is because some Cowboys fans can't stand to hear honest criticism of their team.

Moose is pretty good, but a little dry.

Hater.

I prefer Moose, but I think a lot of people don't like Aikman simply because he isn't a Cowboy suck-up in the booth.

They're both very talented. Separating them allows Fox Sports to give more fans at home to enjoy their insights. That's smart management. Additionally, WE may not mind seeing both men in the booth together, but Fox Sports broadcasts to many other fans who don't follow Dallas. Teaming them up would probably backfire on them because of negative fan feedback.

They had them teamed up Aikman's rookie year of broadcasting.

What aspect is dry? Aikman has the personality of a mule :D

Hey, Fox had to give Aikman a little on-the-job-training, didn't they? They may as well team him up with the best they had (at the time). ;)

I don't agree with you on Aikman's personality, first off, I find him insightful and funny at times. Moose's voice is a little weak, his delivery lacks passion, and he isn't quite opinionated enough. Tends to just come across to me as vanilla.
