I will-- Derrick Johnson had himself a pretty fair ball game today...

9 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble... led the Chiefs in tackles, he did...

Any DJ bashers care to comment?? You guys were REAL quick to point out his lack of stats in preseason...

I'm not a DJ basher, and I'm not gonna bash him here either. But several of his tackles were downfield after solid gains.


That said, it's better to tackle a guy after a 10 yard gain then to NOT tackle a guy after a 10 yard gain. I saw Ray Lewis making tackles after 10 yards gains tonight too.

DJ played well.

Having seen only bits of that game, I'll take your word for the tackles downfield... but I DID see the fumble he caused, and it was on that "club" move that he used so well in college... looks like that move might work some in the NFL, too...

I wasn't really a DJ basher but I know Demarcus Ware has the ability to have himself a game like that too so I'm not worried that we missed out. We all saw him do even more than that against the first teamers at Seattle which has one of the best offensive lines and running game in the NFL, not to mention a pretty decent QB.

Hey, I'm THRILLED to have Ware... he is a better fit for this team's needs, given the switch to the 3-4...

In my final mock oops I mean prediction draft I had the Cowboys taking Derrick Johnson.

I really thought Ware and Merriman were smoke screens. I guess Ware versatility gave him more value.

Guys like Derrick Johnson were so dominant in college, scouts started nit-picking. It happened to Terell Suggs the year before. It appears he's on pace to have a decent year, but he had the luxury of openning with his home crowd.

Hopefully Ware can feed off the Cowboys crowd
