I think there will be a shake up yet again on the coaching staff... I think Marinelli will be the defensive coordinator and Norv Turner will be hired as the OC, Callahan might be retained to be the offensive line coach.

I'd be interested in Marinelli staying in some capacity with DL my preference.

B.

I also heard the Granpa K may be upgraded to some scouting position.

you can't teach old dogs new tricks, so THAT must be why JJ's training program for the coaches didn't translate to Kiffin!

seriously though, I can see giving Kiffin/Marinelli one more season to show that this defense can work...the team was devastated by injury on defense for the 2nd year in a row...IMO, Kiffin's real problem is that he did not adjust well to having zero depth...it seemed that a lot of the back-ups were not in position during the season...Marinelli did a good job with the guys off the street on the DL, but there was only so much you can do there...must get younger on the DL (a couple of FAs and a few drat picks) and apply more pressure...get more 3&outs and the rest of the defense will be more rested and have less opportunity for injury (if nothing else)

To be fair, I don't think anyone could adjust to that amount of loss on one side of the ball. Everyone points to Greenbay a few years ago but their losses were on both sides of the ball but they had some great offensive coaches who had some good backup talent to work with... it wasn't all on the defensive side.

That wouldn't be the end of the world at this point.

I agree, that's why I think they deserve another shot this season....I wouldn't lose sleep if Kiffin was let go, but I think he and Marinelli deserve a legit chance to see if this D can work

I'm sure there will be a change and I'm fairly sure it will be at least partially out of Jerry's control otherwise it be done. Hoping Rod takes over.
