Obviously, the Patriots have been the model franchise for the last couple of decades, which teams in your opinion has tried to copy them? have we tried to copy them?

If I were a coach, i know i would be studying alot of what they do both offensively and defensively, if i were a GM, i know i would be studying how they go about managing their roster.

It’s easy
Find the next ton Brady
Brady makes the players around him better so you dont need a super star at every position thus fixes your roster

Yes the NFL is a copy cat league. Which is one reason why so many teams fail year after year. They think they can duplicate what another team did but with different personnel.

The great coaches (which are few) adapt their schemes to the talent they have. Instead of trying to force a philosophy on players whose talents don’t match.

Garrett is a perfect example of a coach who doesn’t adapt his scheme to his players talents. After Zeke went into exile Garrett stuck with the same approach and mindset and expected Al Morris to get the same results from the same plays. When Doug Pederson lost Carson Wentz, he made adjustments that played to Nick Foles strengths.

That’s what Belechick does too. He’s a master of getting his team prepared by maximizing their talents instead of forcing the players to just “run the scheme” as it’s drawn up- that’s what Garrett seems to want.

On offense - Identify Man/Zone -
If Man - Identify what linebacker is covering whom - Attack that linebacker.
Identify any safety, go after that safety deep
Have offensive linemen that can pass block

On defense - Get after the QB
Be very aggressive on pass defense, play very little zone.

Now in my mind: Figure out the plays the other team is running, and call plays to counter that/ Once a cheater always a cheater.
Notice the Patriots are always getting killed in the first half, totally shut down teams in the second half. I wonder how

Everyone on that offense is prepared and involved. A different RB every week very involved in the passing game. A smart offense who utilizes the clock. They have full control of up tempo down tempo. No Edelman, No Gronk, even no Brady for 4 last year. That list goes on. They’re a smart well coached football team. Brady’s great, but when you watch that O the scheme, play calling and situational player usage are outstanding. I wish the Cowboys would pickup a few pointers!!

If I'm going to copy anything I think I'm going to copy history. Being strong in the trenches have always stood the test of time. Being strong on defense down the middle forces your opponent to go further for success on the outside. If you can add competent quarterback and coaching to the equation you will always be in the mix to contend with good health and a little luck.

Brady is great, but they are a complete team that does all the little things right, including on defense, and special teams because of Belicheat. Belicheat and his offensive staff are the ones who design plays to put an average receivers, like Danny Amendola, in position to make so many plays.

An outstanding Head Coach would be my # 1 need to be a Super Bowl contending team year after year.

I think we we tried to copy them. We try to get bargain FA and turn them into good to career year players. The only thing is they do it a lot better than us since they have better HC.

Halftime adjustments. They might be a myth around here, but you could bet if Bellichick is getting beat by something in the first half he figures out a way to stifle it and force a team to beat them somewhere else. Here it’s more of a square peg in a round hole mentality. Garrett and his little plastic hammer! lol

So, just throw the ball up on O and tackle their WR's when on D, it won't get called anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
