He who doesn't learn from history, is destined to repeat it.

I'll wait before I jump on the "we are a +.500 team." Bandwagon... I sincerely hope I'm wrong... but I don't think I am... muarry, dez, or romo any one go down for any lengthy amount of time and the season starts to go down... and they ALL have that history.

HOU: Win 23-14. Murray rushes for 110 yards and the Texans score a meaningless TD at the end.

@SEA: Loss 27-24. Seattle kicks a GW FG at the end of regulation. Despite the loss, we're confident moving forward.

NYG: Win 37-27. Donnell scores two TD's and we kick a FG late in the 4th to seal the win. Harris returns a punt for a TD.

WAS: Win 41-20. Cousins continues to struggle. We beat them with a balanced attack.

ARI: Win 26-17. Bailey is 4 for 4 and secures the game with a late 4th qtr kick. Murray fails to reach 100 yards for the first time this season.

@JAC: Win 34-13. We route the winless Jaguars overseas and Murray is back on track. Dez has two TD's with 160 yards. Williams has a 100 yard performance as well.

@NYG: Win 24-21. Romo finds Witten for a TD with under a minute left in the game. On the ensuing drive Eli throws an INT to Wilcox, due to miscommunication with Beckham.

PHI: Win 38-28. Dez has 3 TD's and seals the game with a back shoulder pass late in the game.

@CHI: Loss 31-30. Chicago kicks a GW FG and Bailey misses on his attempt which is his first miss of the season.

@PHI: Win 24-20. They threaten on the last drive but fail on turnover on downs. Dallas clinches the division.

IND: Win 30-28. Fresh off our win in Philly, we start out hot and open a 23-7 halftime lead. Luck's comeback falls short when he throws an INT to Scandrick to end the game and with the win Dallas secures a first round bye.

@WAS: Loss 24-6. We rest our starters.

I figured we would be 2-2 if things were going fairly well. NO has serious problems so not really sure what our beat down of them really means.

I'd be pretty shocked if we beat both the Cardinals and Colts. I know they are at home, but its not like our home field is that much of an advantage.
I'd say those 2 games will determine whether we are a 9-7 team (lose both) or a serious contender at 11-5. In all likelyhood we split and go 10-6 though imo.....or we go 8-8, know the heck knows

And if we lose sunday everybody will walk back to the edge and were 3-13 again. Love the optimism but i think the predictions have gotten a little outta control. Nobody really knows who anybody really is for another few weeks.

We know infinitely more now than we did before the season started. The OP just asks for revised predictions. It may not seem like a lot but we've seen 25% of all games that will be played.

I said 8-8 before the season started and right now, I will stick to that. Seen it too often with this team under Garrett. Prove me wrong before I give in.

If we lose to the Texans, that will not be a good loss. That needs to be a win facing Seattle on the road next week. If we lose the next 2, especially Houston, the momentum we built will be shot down a cliff. I would have been happy with 3-3 before the season started but it's a fluid situation. Stuff changes. After beating the Saints, we need to be 4-2 after 6 games. 3-3 would be the same old thing as the old teams as in not being able to carry momentum to the finish line. Especially with the tough finish we have to this season.

Figured .500 or less, 8-8 or worse.

Thanks to the cohesiveness of a DOMINANT OFFENSIVE LINE, 10-6 or better...maybe we win 11 games? But that's with a healthy OL and QB....meaning Romo and the BIG 3 up front.

I said 8-8 so sticking with that. Just enjoying this min-run they are on now and hoping they prove me wrong.

i never predicted our record this year...never will again either.

but the way our o-line is playing and murray feasting on that ..

the much improved playcalling balanced attack..

rolando and carter

the possibility of getting okoye and lawrence back midseason ....no mo claiborne for the rest of the season... has my interest big time.

Teams are kind of all sorted out by week 4, generally. So yeah, I think we're pretty good.

I also think New England is atrocious.

I think that how Seattle and Dallas lock horns will say a lot as to strong considerations this early.

I've seen the Deadskins win 8 in a row, only to lose the rest of the way.

I've seen us in 2011 when we were 7-4 and only won one game rest of the way.

However, I'm more optimistic due to Linehan and Marinelli.

I wasn't dead wrong.

After Week 1, I started a thread titled "I'm still optimistic" because of how good the OL and D looked. Romo was rusty and single-handedly threw that game away, but the rest of the team looked pretty good vs a very good opponent.

Shameless self back-pat.
