I'm glad Siragusa said it during the game (and Moose agreed wholeheartedly). I thought maybe there was something I didn't know about NFL football. Obviously, Siragusa knows what he's talking about when talking defense.

Referring to our CBs playing 10 yards off the Receiver, Siragusa asked,"why do they keep doing that. It doesn't make sense". The way he said it, he was very confused. Moose chimed in and agreed staing that Garcia could take 5 yard passes all day.

I was really confused when Henry was playing 10 yeards off of Ernest Graham.

I'll enjoy the win and the defense played great overall, but some of the stupid things have to stop at some point.

I saw Henry trying to tell Scnadrick to move up to the line of scrimmage on the one play, and then Scandrick took like 5 steps back, and Hnery signalled to him to move back up. Not sure why they are giving them so much cushion.

I was glad to hear them address it. As a fan, it just kills me to see the same crap that doesn't work being done over and over. Fortunately, Mike Jenkins demonstrated what happens when you stay close to the receiver. Maybe the coaching staff was taking note of what everyone else already knows.

Siragusa, by the way, was officially the last person on earth who noticed that.
If even a dumb pumpkin like Siragusa sees that, makes you wonder . . . why?

because when you have Henry lack of speed you cant press. When Ball replaced Henry he pressed because he has recovery speed to make up for a mistake....Henry does not have that...he must keep everything in front of him.

I actually saw scandrick trying to tell Ball to move up but he kept going back until Scandrick told him to move up again.

I can agree that Henry plays back most of the time. But all of them have been playing like that quite a bit all season long.

They actually did let Jenkins play up some today. I was impressed.

I don't get how EVERYONE can see that there is something wrong with how our corners are playing, but our coaches don't seem to change that. I hope next week our coaches have our corners play up more.

some has to do with henry's speed but it also has to do with the bend but don't break scheme. how can you explain all of our corners doing it at some point in time. all of them have been 10 yards off including newman and pacman in the games they played. it worked today with only 9 points allowed but you got to consider tampa's lack of running game.

If Tampa Bay had run a few toss plays while our corners 10 yards off, they would have had some decent yardage. Or if they had run more screen passes like the one galloway had, it would have been positive yards .

Orlando Scandrick is really playing well in the slot. I think if I were Wade I'd keep him there when Newman comes back and go with Jenkins and TNew on the outside and only use Henry covering tight ends in the nickel.

We may find out a lot more about this, this next week, as it is possible the Cowboys will be going in to the NY game with a total of three active cornerbacks. Ball, Scandrick and Jenkins.

The problem with the bend-dont-break scheme is that it keeps the defense on the field too long as well as keeping our offense off the field.

I don't know if it's that some of them are afraid they'll get beat deep or if it's just the coaches being afraid they'll get beat deep but I certainly wish they'd stop giving them that insane cushin.

If I were a bigger, slower corner...I wouldn't be giving smaller faster players a ten yard head start....just seems kind of counter productive to me. I would be right up on the line of scrimmage and hammering them off the snap.
