Gil Brandt and Adam Scein are live at Cowboys Camp today.

Terence Newman on right now. Real humble guy. They asked him to comment on Parcells saying that "He's the best player we have right now" and T-New just said he's going to keep working because he's not close to being as good as he wants to be.
This guy will be in Hawaii in February.

He should have been there last year.

Gil Brandt really likes Cory Procter. He also said if you had "20 Kyle Kosiers you'd win a ton of games."
Take it for what it's worth.

Gil also liked Rod Hill quite a bit.

TNew still wants to be better is a great sign for us fans......get this guy locked up for 5 plus years

Good one. Wonder how many people remember that one?

I still remember watching that draft. And these were in the days before Mel Kiper.

All I can remember is Paul Zimmerman scratching his head and most of them rendered speechless. They didn't even have footage of him playing and eventually just showed him sprinting at a workout or something.

Well, Brandt hasn't always been right. But he's probably the greatest football scout that ever lived, so I'll take it.

Rich...........

Too funny. Now Brandt has been involved with picking some of our greats for sure. But during the 80s there were some brutal ones like Hill. I remember Danny Noonan too. How about WR Doug Donley?

Aint that the truth. I'm suprised he was he even let on the premisis. He's nothing but a cowboy and T.O. hater. Man i hope T.O. proves all these HATERS wrong.

He may not have been 'scout' per se, but I have to throw the name Joel Bushbaum out there.

Yep, he has us finishing last in the East. Last week, he was pretending it was the first game of the season and was giving scoring updates like every 10 minutes like "16-0 here in the second quarter". Then it was like 23-3 and i was done listening at that point.

I caught part of this on my commute home. Romo was on for a quick interview and sounded good. According to Adam/Gil, Romo had a great practice. I liked the things Romo said in this interview. I've read interviews in the past where sometimes I thought his answer wasn't PC enough as a QB often needs to be. But I liked his comments today. One thing Romo said is that he doesn't want to be a backup for too much longer and he thinks the Cowboys realize this. Otherwise he says he's ready for whenever he does play. Also according to Adam/Gil, they notcied the player rallying with him and congratulating him after the situation drills they ran where he threw a TD to Crayton I think.

They also had good things to say about Canty. And also that Watkins looks like he can make some plays and could be the guy at FS once he learns the defense and how to read offenses better.

Like Baushbaum, Brandt was also a draftnick. And like Baushbaum and Kiper he never played a down of professional football, but had a bunch of friends at the college level that fed him good info on some unknown players. His problem started when he wanted to find diamonds in the rough in the early rounds. he hit some good ones in the 60's & 70's like duane thomas (West Texas State), calvin hill (Yale) and thomas henderson (Langston) that had people scratching thier heads. he did however miss on quite a few like rod hill from kentucky st.
