I usually avoid NFL radio until 11 because I can't stand Papa and Cross, but my dumb ***, I hadda listen to them this morning, and as usual, the pissed me off. So I sent them this email, which will amount to nothing but made me feel better.

Hello.

I'm a long-time Dallas fanatic and I absolutely HATE it when people call or email you guys and complain about your opinions of the Cowboys. It makes us all seem like a bunch of whiners. But what I object to is when you say silly things like "The Cowboys are built to win now." Well, doesn't everybody want to win now? The reality is that Dallas was the second or third youngest team in the League last year. That indicates to me that the Cowboys are built to win now as well as in the future.

I gotta admit, I was a little bit irked that the Cowbays didn't grab a receiver at some point yesterday. But it always cracks me up how Jerry always gets all the blame and none of the credit for the failures and successes of the team. To paraphrase Papa from yesterday, "The Cowboys better win now because Parcells is gone and Jones is back in charge." Well, would it affect your opinion at all to know that Jerry wanted to trade up to grab James Hardy in the second but was out-voted by his personnel guys? When you make your assessments, do you consider guys like Jacob Rogers and Jason Peters who were high-round Parcells picks who turned out to be total busts? How about all the "Parcells guys" Big Bill brought in in free agency and amounted to nothing, like Fabini, Anderson, etc? The only free agent Pro Bowler the Cowboys have seen is Terrell Owens, and according to "the experts," that was a total Jerry call.

As far as Fasano and Ayodele go, sure, they'll start for Miami, but so could scads of second-string players on other teams. Doesn't make those players any better or worth any more than they really are. Fasano was a second round pick, sure, but he was picked by Parcells, and just because he went in the second round it doesn't mean he fits what Jason Garrett wants to do. Word out of Vally Ranch is that he doesn't, but that's another debate. Zach Thomas' durability is a question, for sure, but Wade wants to get Burnett on the field more, and when it comes to the talent on the team and how to use it, I figure Jerry and the Dallas coaches know a heck of a lot more about it than you or I, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

It's a good letter, but he's gonna blast you on one thing...

Jason Peters is a Pro Bowl OT for Buffalo. You meant Stephen Peterman...

Do you even no who Jason Peters is OP. If not, I highly suggest you read up on your NFL trivia before you try and be a smart *** and call people out who are DOING THEIR JOBS.

Dont waste your time. Pappa hates Dallas. HE always has. Now he just has a larger audience to speak to.

He has no control over what happens so its no big deal. And for what its worth Jerry Reese is getting all the credit in ny with the giants but he didnt build that team, not by a long shot, not even close.

Ernie Acorsi did all the hard work and built that team, he is the one who took risks and made trades. He signed pierce, mckenzie, mcquarters, burress etc. He is the one who drafted all those lineman and drafted the qb.

Throw in the fact that Spagnulo and gilbride will probably be hot assistants this year, it may end up being the giants who better win in this window. Not to mention the you know what will hit the fan with shockey this year.

You can make a case for any of the 4 nfc east teams that they had better win now. Its not hard. This division is so competitive that any of the 4 could win the division and the super bowl or easily miss the playoffs.

You just happen to be listening to pappa, A total rick with a p who has been bashing the cowboys for years. Now he just gets to do it on sirius.

No mention of Bobby Carpenter?

I hate ripping players who've been in the League less than three years. There were a lot more I coulda mentioned, too.

They both hate Dallas. This morning, it was nothing but Dallas fans calling all morning. Both of them were getting iritated by it. In fact, one guy called, and was talking about the draft and his opinions on it and the signal on his phone went, and Papa said something on the lines of "well, looks like we lost signal" and Cross in the background says (real prick like) "good", and then they moved on to something else.

If you can get by their opinions on Dallas, it's a really good show for a fix until the season kicks up again. They just both hate Dallas.

One reason I haven't listened to Sirius in a long time -- almost cancelled it many times -- is that I felt there was big slant towards the whole New York area. It actually was probably better then, because we had Parcells and of course they loved him. But between talking Giants and Jets a disproportionate amount of the time and the general lack of knowledge they had, I didn't have much use for it.
