SI's top 10 OL prospects.

rumor has it that they are waiting to see how Fitzpatrick does the rest of the season. Considering what he has to work with, he seems to be doing pretty well. They might decided that since they have to get so much they can do with him for a year or two then go QB if he does not pan out. THey need so much anyway. Frankly to me you look for your franchise QB a little farther along on the rebuilding process then they are.

I think we are some what lucky that if Jerry re-signs Doug Free we don't need a LT. Free did a very good job in his first full year as a starter. You don't see many RT's drafted high in the draft anyway. I think Detroit and Buffalo(missing out on Luck) will be looking for Tackles and they will be drafting ahead of us. I really like the corners from LSU and Nebraska and if they are gone then move down. If we move down from a top 10 pick to say somewhere around 20 we could get a extra 2nd round selection. Stefen Wisniewski's name would be on my card as the selection. We could play him a guard, then have him replace Gurrode in the following year. Having an additional 2nd pick would be a plus; we could now tape into the value of a RT and DL. Gabe Carimi OT from Wisconsin or DeMarcus Love OT from Arkansas could be our future RT. Things could change from the end of season until the draft depending on what Jerry does in free agency.

I think I wait a year an target this guy

Michael Brewster, C, Ohio State
Height: 6-5. Weight: 293.
Projected 40 Time: 5.08.
Projected Round (2012): 1-2

The junior from Orlando will play a critical role in the Buckeyes' offense as he calls the plays up front, and continues his connection with QB Terrelle Pryor into a third season.

Gurode not costing us that much - I know hes dumb as fence post
but we might survive another year with him

2011: $5.5 million, 2012: $6.5 million

IDK fitpatrick(sp?) has been getting it done it seems as of late. but they really do need to develope a franchise QB (even though after Trent Edwards and JP losman(?) they will probally wait.

jmo, they won't wait. Fitzpatrick will be 29 mid way through next season and has been a career back-up. While Mallet could be a bust like Edwards and Losman, he is a much higher rated prospect

Yeah, Wisconsin always seems to have a great line. They don't have a long list of successes in the NFL, but enough. I think the main thing there is that they do get the big bodies, have a physical style of play, and they are so well coached. The remind me some of the old Nebraska lines, but bigger.

I think he comes out this year, will likely go ahead of Wisniewski
