Philly is not winning the division. They arent winning all 3 and we aren’t losing all 3.

So now is the time to let these guys sit and get right for the playoffs.

Bring them back week 17, let them practice, even play a half of football, and get them ready for the playoffs.

Zeke needs less carries too. I’d like to see him carry the ball 12-15 times a game and maybe a few catches over the next 3 weeks

I agree but besides that this offense needs to work. If Martin can't go I understand that but right now I keep the foot on the gas and continue to work on areas this offense must improve on. Given that they would likely have to play wildcard weekend they can rest guys vs NY. Last trip to the playoffs they did not play wildcard weekend so having starters sit the final reg season game meant they would not see action for 2 weeks. That will not be the case this time around.

The theory is sound, but maybe not so much in practice. If we sit both then we would be down to only one of the starting from last season on the O-Line, and that one will be the weakest of the bunch. I'm a little worried about keeping Dak and Zeke healthy with 4 backups blocking for them. In the end it comes down to 2 questions ... 1 - are the backups at or near the level of the guys they would be replacing given that those guys are hobbled, and 2 - how great is the chance of further injury or setback with Martin and/or Smith playing?

Again, I haven't done a meta-analysis on this, but based on my observations in 40+ years of watching the NFL, resting players who are capable of playing, especially with three games left, is just plain stupid.

Its hard to make these choices without knowing the specifics of each case but my feeling is, if they can play and at a level better than the backup, then they play until the division is clinched. If there is a chance to get a bye, then they play until that is clinched. There is an expression, "Tomorrow is promised to no one". If they win this week, then they can sit the injured guys for 2 weeks. If they don't win, there is no assurance they will beat the Bucs or the Giants who are playing much better now than earlier in the year and could be playing for a wild card spot on December 30th.

I am concerned about the way Martin was man-handled by Fletcher Cox. I think its because his knee prevents him from really pushing. In his case, maybe he has to sit. Tyron Smith had a singer 3 weeks ago. She should be healed from that. Not sure what's wrong with his elbow. His 3 holding calls raise eyebrows for me though. The Colts can pressure the QB so we need him playing at a high level if he can. I don't believe an OL of Flemming, Su'a-Filo, Looney, Willaims and Collins can get the job done. Its asking a lot for essentially a full backup line to go against a first team defense and win consistently.

I made a post last night about going all in for the 3rd seed but even if Chicago loses 1, they have the tiebreaker on us. Given their schedule, I don't think they lose more than one.
