Bad casting. This is a story that requires a guy who can pull off understated comedy. Those of us who've seen Ted, know that's not Wahlberg. Not sure who I'd want, though. Maybe Rudd, before he did Ant Man.

If you go back now and watch the original....You would wonder why you liked it in the first place other than being younger and having less options to watch.

It was really bad.

Think of the idea that they would slow things down and have an audio track play to let you know he was actually running fast. Just crazy stuff.

Doubt the new one would be any better...even with better effects it would probably be cheesy.

It would have to take something like a complete change over like that did with BattleStar G where they made it much darker and more edgy vs the family friendly original.

It's based on Cyborg I believe and I think that is darker. I read some time back, can't really remember it. But it really does need to be darker.

I think you are thinking about it in the wrong context. There was much to tv. Not really.
The things that were really bad actually gave that show something unique.

They were bringing a book to the screen.

Like hulk .. Bringing a comic to the screen.

So yes there were kinda bad but to a 5-6 year old kid. They were great!

Oh please don't focus too much on the human/cyborg issues of getting bionic limbs etc.
