Well, I'm not a fan of Nolan and I never really have been since the day he was announced. The book on him is that his defenses start out great and then they fall off. Once he gets figured out, his defenses decline. I mean, that's not different then most coaches, which is why there is a unwritten rule in the profession that basically says 10 years, no more.

We'll see what happens......

With all the problems we had with Marinelli, why didn't they take their time and hire a winning DC?!?

Hard to say. I mean, we don't know the details of the contract with McCarthy. He might be looking for short term results, based on his deal and if that's the case, then Nolan would be a decent pick I suppose. He usually starts out decent. He just uses the blitz a lot and at first, it's successful a lot of times. Once it gets figured out, then it becomes a problem. IDK.
