Probably one of, if not the funniest sketch I've ever seen on TV was the Rick James episode on The Chappelle Show
Still cracks me up to this day

I completely forgot that Carvey had that show briefly a ways back; love his stand up and one of the most unnderrated SNL actors most def.

He had a very good cast with him - Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Robert Smigel. It was a good show, but sponsors pulled out week after week until it couldn't stay on the air anymore.

Carvey's bit on rock star histrionics while on the piano sold me forever on his genius (gave me hiccups). It was some HBO special but def a lost gem. My memory failed me in that I remembered he had the show for a few weeks but didn't remember Carrel/Colbert were part of the group. On a related note, I love Colbert as the principal in "Strangers with Candy".
