I am a Skins fan and I have never lived in DC or Dallas. I don't care if someone feels I am a true fan or not. I don't know why anyone would be bothered by a rival's opinion about their fanhood.

I do not believe you that you are a Commanders fan. You'd have to prove it to me for me to believe it.

I frequented this board before it required the users to be logged in in order to view threads. I joined back in November and posted my "Go Skins" introductory thread before Sunday's game. I have posted much more, comparatively speaking, since the game but I go out of my way to avoid being a "troll". There is a fine line between being an optimistic Skins fan and a troll and so far I have tried to be very conservative in my posts. I doubt I will post often, I never do on any of the boards I am on, but I will be around.

Over the last 6 seasons (also including this season/2010) we are 6-5 vs Dallas.

Early 2000's you guys owned us but the last 6 years its been even.

I generally don't post here because to be honest, not that interested in talking football here. It's not that I dislike the posters or anything, it's just that I don't want to be *that guy* that just chimes in when the Commanders are doing well (I was checking the game thread here but didn't post because it's lame to only jump in when the Commanders are winning, was just watching to see how the views on here reflected 'Skins forums).

I just happened to comment on this post because I wanted to clarify for good or bad why people dislike Cowboys fans in NoVA/VA. Again, I realize that all teams have bandwagon fans and I wasn't calling non-Texas natives that like the Cowboys bandwagon fans, it was more aimed at a very specific group of people just in the NoVA/DC area who didn't care about the Cowboys when they were struggling, but they're suddenly pretending to be life long fans basking in the success when things are going well. There are way more of those fans than Giants/Eagles fans (both much closer to here geographically), so they're easy to point out and it's why you see the whole silly "Are you from Texas?!?!" comments from Commanders fans.

Ok, fine, but how do you or anyone else know when a specific Dallas fan (or any fan for that matter) jumps on the bandwagon only when the team is good? I'm pretty sure that the fan base for EVERY team is more visible when they're doing well. Hell, before the Patriots won their first Super Bowl earlier in the decade, I hardly EVER saw anyone sporting any Pats gear. Now you see it quite a bit. However, that doesn't mean those guys weren't Patriot fans before. There just wasn't a whole lot to get excited about. Some of us (and I'm one) will be a diehard even if our team goes 0-16, but others won't. It's that way with every fan base of every team in every sport.
